Awake for Love: My Coma Bridegroom

Chapter 635

“Damn! Ian’s in danger!” Mike shouted, “Stay in the car, Violette! I’m going to find him!” He quickly pulled the car off to the side of the road, flicked on
the hazard lights, and then dashed towards the subway station.
Ian had the day off and the summer camp bus had dropped all the kids off at a shopping mall near the subway station. At the mall, Ian had bought a
gift for his mom. While paying for it, he noticed someone was watching him suspiciously. When he left the mall and headed towards the subway
station, that same person followed him there. That was when he knew he was being followed.
Violette couldn’t just sit in the car and wait. Once Mike had left the car, she also got out and began to stride towards the subway station. Her
bodyguard walked with her, advising, “Boss, be careful! What if you go into labor here on the street?!”
Violette hadn’t felt anything initially, but at his words, she felt a twinge in her belly. She paused, with hand on her belly. “You need to go find Ian! What
if Mike encounters danger too?!”

The bodyguard could not leave her. “There are security officers in the subway. They’ll be fine.”
“No, I need to go see for myself!” She took the bodyguard’s arm and continued towards the subway station.
Just then, Mike appeared carrying Ian. The moment Violette saw the two of them, her anxiety eased.
“Violette, didn’t I tell you to stay in the car? How did you get out?” Mike approached her, panting. “Get in the car.”
Once in the car, Violette immediately embraced Ian. “Baby, are you okay? I should have picked you up earlier...”
“Mom, I’m okay. I accidentally pressed a button on my watch.” Ian explained while pulling out the gift he’d bought for her. “I accidentally pressed it
while buying the gift.”
Violette took the gift, still shaken. “Don’t lie to me. This has never happened before.”
“I’ve never bought a gift alone before either.” Ian’s lips quirked up in a rare smile.
“Thank god you’re okay. I’ll take you out for dinner.”
“Okay. Mom, open the gift.”
Violette immediately unwrapped the gift, revealing a moving butterfly hair clip. It was adorable.
“I love it,” she said, putting the hair clip on. “Did you get one for Rita too?”

“Yes. It’s in my backpack.”
“I’m so lucky to have you.”
...
That night, after Violette had gone to rest, Mike entered Ian’s room.vHe locked the door behind him and cut to the chase, “You can fool your mom, but
you think you can fool me too? Spill it, what happened?”
Ian said, “I’ll tell you, but you can’t tell mom.”
“Of course! Don’t you trust me?” Mike stood firm in front of him, pressing, “Did you get into trouble?”
“When I was investigating Nora, I found that she visited a strange website. I clicked on it and found out it was a darknet site.” Ian spoke in a hushed
tone.
“What kind of darknet site?”
“Some of it I didn’t understand, but some of it was human trafficking.” Ian paused slightly, “I destroyed the site, but accidentally got traced.”
Mike was stern. “You acted too impulsively! You should tell me first.”
“... I was scared by the content.” Ian still felt terrified thinking about it. “I’ll find a way to fix it, but you mustn’t let mom know.”
