Awake for Love: My Coma Bridegroom

Chapter 634

This was something she never saw coming. How desperate and hopeless must a person be to even consider taking his or her own life? Not only had
Sarah killed herself, but she had also denied the child in her womb a chance at life.
Violette began to question Sarah’s accusations towards her. Sarah claimed that she had heard her voice at the time of her blinding... Could it be true?
Who was the real perpetrator behind Sarah’s suffering? Why was she being framed? Could it be Kaleb?
But Sarah was carrying his child. He had no reason to harm Sarah.
Could it... could the real reason behind Sarah’s torment be that the perpetrator was after her?! How else could she explain her voice being present
when Sarah was blinded?
A cold sweat broke out on her back.
Mike arrived at her room carrying a bowl of warm soup. He found her sitting rigidly on the bed, and her eyes were vacant. She didn’t even notice him
come in.

“Violette, what are you thinking about?” Mike placed the soup on the bedside table, waving his hand in front of her eyes. “You’re not still thinking
about Sarah, are you?”
Violette snapped back to reality. She murmured, “Is she really gone?”
“Truly. The police have confirmed it. She drowned herself in the hospital bathroom.” Mike sighed, “It’s a terrifying thought. I could never do it. I’m
terrified of death.” Otherwise, he wouldn’t always be clinging to Violette. He feared that his chronic condition might strike at any time, and being with
her meant immediate help.
“Violette, don’t think about this anymore. Tomorrow, I’ll take you abroad. We’ll go clear our minds.” Mike held out the bowl of soup to her. “Eat
something first.”
Violette raised a hand to massage her temples, whispering, “I can’t eat. I have a strong premonition that the person who harmed Sarah was targeting
me.”
“Violette, don’t think like that. You know what kind of person Sarah was. It’s not surprising that someone wanted to harm her. As for her claiming to
hear your voice, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true,” Mike comforted.
“It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not true either.”

“Even if what you’re saying is true, it just means the person doesn’t dare to hurt you directly. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have targeted Sarah. Don’t you
agree?” Mike continued to comfort her, “We’ll go abroad to clear our minds. When we return, we’ll increase your security detail.”
Violette took the bowl of soup from him and began to eat small spoonfuls.
Meanwhile, Melinda, hearing about the news of Sarah’s suicide, was dark-faced. She hadn’t expected Sarah to die so easily. Sarah was so fragile.
Was it just because of her eyes? Sarah didn’t even think of seeking revenge on Violette. What a useless woman!
“Melinda, Sarah’s death doesn’t seem to have affected Violette,” Nora said sulkily.
“It does have an impact. As far as I know, Violette and Elijah had another argument.” Melinda sneered, “Many couples break down due to constant
quarrels. Elijah is tolerating her now because of the child. I wonder how long she can continue to be pampered! After she gives birth, she will lose her
figure, and if she doesn’t change her temper, Elijah won’t give her the time of the day.”
“Melinda, you are right, but I don’t want to leave her alive.” Nora’s face darkened. “Once she’s dead, Elijah might start missing her and see me as her
substitute.”
After a few seconds of silence, Melinda said, “Perhaps we can team up with Alexa. If something happens, we’ll have someone to take the fall.”
A day later, at a subway station in B Country, Ian noticed someone tailing him. He pulled his hat low and quickly ducked into a nearby diner.
Immediately, he pressed the red button on his wristwatch.
Two seconds later, Mike’s watch emitted a sharp alarm.
