Chapter 397
Chapter 397 A Matter of Mutual Consent
Aiden wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or something else, but when he looked at
Isidora, he felt a strong urge. He grabbed her hand, wrapped his other arm around her waist, and pulled her onto him, flipping
her over onto the couch.
That night, they had a wild and impulsive encounter on the sofa.
The next morning, Isidora struggled to sit up, rubbing her sore back. When she opened her eyes, she realized Aiden and his
belongings were all gone.
Did Aiden just run off?
Isidora was puzzled. They had just slept together, and now he was gone without a word?
She wasn't even sure how she felt about it yet.
Despite her confusion, she couldn't help but blush as she recalled the previous night's passion. The room still carried the
lingering scent of their encounter.
Before leaving the room, Isidora cleaned herself up and then headed back home.
At the Cooper Mansion, Aiden sneaked in, trying to avoid being noticed. He didn't want anyone to know he had spent the night
elsewhere.
But as soon as he stepped inside, he saw Leon and Tiffany sitting on the couch, staring at him silently.
"Where were you, Aiden?" Tiffany asked with a knowing smile.
"Uh, I... I had a few drinks and couldn't drive, so I stayed out. Nothing happened, really. Don't overthink it!" Aiden stammered, his
explanation becoming more convoluted.
Leon adjusted his glasses and put down his planner, calmly looking at Aiden. "You went to a reunion, right? How did you get so
drunk?"
Aiden was taken aback. "So... you know about Dorinda..."
"Yes," Tiffany nodded. She assumed Aiden had gone out to drown his sorrows.
But Aiden's shifty behavior suggested there was more to the story.
"You weren't talking about me behind my back, were you?" Aiden asked awkwardly.
Tiffany couldn't resist teasing him. "We were wondering if you met a girl last night. Did you, Aiden?"
Aiden's face changed immediately, looking like he had been caught red-handed. Tiffany stood up, her expression serious.
"Aiden, did you really meet a girl?"

"Well... it wasn't like that... we both wanted to... and then it just happened..." Aiden admitted, realizing he couldn't hide it any
longer.
"So, it was someone we know?" Tiffany asked, piecing things together.
Aiden nodded, looking like a guilty child.
Aiden's silence confirmed it.
He braced himself for Tiffany's reaction, but nothing happened.
Instead, Ulysses appeared behind him, clapping him on the shoulder. "Nice going, Aiden. I always thought Isidora liked you. So,
are you two together now?"
Tiffany had the same question. She had noticed Isidora's feelings for Aiden and had even considered setting them up.
But Aiden remained silent.
Tiffany frowned. "You're not together?"
Aiden shook his head.
"So, you slept together because you were drunk, and then you just left?" Tiffany was surprised. She thought Aiden would take
responsibility.
"It was mutual... I just..." Aiden trailed off, unsure of what to do.
Tiffany sighed, frustrated. But she knew it was a mutual decision. If Isidora had wanted to force Aiden, she wouldn't have let him
leave.
"What's your plan now? Do you want to be with her or pretend it never happened?" Tiffany asked.
"I don't know..." Aiden admitted, choosing to avoid the situation for now. "You're really dragging this out. Be a man," Ulysses
chimed in, unable to hold back.
"I can't decide for Isidora. I know I need to take responsibility, but last night was so sudden. I don't know if she meant what she
said because of the alcohol," Aiden explained.
"Then go rest and think it over. We're not pressuring you. We just want you to understand your own feelings," Leon concluded,
trying to ease Aiden's burden.
Aiden nodded and was about to head upstairs when Isidora's voice called out from the hallway.
"Wait, I have something to say!"
