Richest Mogul

Chapter 1991

Chapter 1991
Manfred's cold eyes narrowed slightly as his gaze swept toward the hand clutching his arm.
That hand-slender, fair and beautiful, was the most beautiful hand he had ever
seen.
Then, a sudden thought crossed his mind. Such a beautiful hand... It should be cut off.
But just as quickly as it came, it was crushed.
Another voice echoed in his head, stronger, darker-"I dare anyone to lay a single finger on her!"
The killing intent in that voice was overwhelming.
One command and the first thought was utterly erased.
Manfred frowned. "What do you mean by that? I've always been here."
As the words left his lips, his headache grew even worse.
Vivian froze. "Are... Are you really Manfred?"
A bizarre, absurd feeling rose inside her. The man before her was Manfred. And at the same time-not Manfred.
He was familiar. Yet, in some moments, he felt like a complete stranger.
Manfred's gaze darkened. The words left his mouth before he could even think. "I am."
"But... something's not right. You remember me, but at the same time, you don't."
Vivian frowned. What was going on? Had his soul traveled into another body? If so, did that mean the original Manfred was

dead? How did he die? Or was this physical time travel?
But if that were the case, then why did this Manfred look younger than the one she knew?
Manfred looked at Vivian, who was frowning in front of him, and his heart sank slightly. Almost without thinking, he blurted out, "I
remember you."

"Then... Do you remember where we first met?" Vivian asked, trying to confirm. Her mind was filled with questions.
If it was as she suspected and Manfred had somehow transmigrated his soul here, then did that mean he had died in his original
world?
How did he die? Or perhaps it wasn't transmigration but physical time travel instead.
But the Manfred before her was clearly a few years younger.
And then, there was something else. There was a coldness and
his features that she had nose.

Her thoughts flashed back to the woman in the cage-her warning.
"If you fall into Manfred's hands, you won't last a day. He won't even leave your body intact."
A chill ran down her spine-a sense of danger-and something far more terrifying.
There was an evil presence around him. Something that could

Manfred pressed a hand against his temple. The pain in his head slowly eased.
When he looked up again, Vivian was staring at him with caution.
Something inside him panicked. It was a strange, unexplainable fear. "Don't be afraid of me."
His voice softened-almost pleading.

Vivian barely responded. "Okay." But she didn't mean it.
How could she not be afraid?
If he was her Manfred, she wouldn't be scared at all. She'd even confess her feelings right away.
But now, she wasn't even sure who he was because he couldn't answer her question.
If he was really Manfred, he would remember their first meeting.
Some people were twisted, especially those tainted by dark forces. What if he had

His chest tightened. "I won't hurt you."
His voice was softer now. Something inside him whispered, "Don't scare her. Protect her."
