Richest Mogul

Chapter 1990

Chapter 1990
The moment Manfred saw those eyes, he knew. Those were the very eyes that had haunted him for days.
Every time he closed his own, they would appear in his mind.
He had even tried to paint them. But no matter how many times he tried, the paintings lacked something.
It didn't capture the light in them-the light that made his heart lose control.
And now, seeing them in front of him, he was sure she was the one he had been searching for.
...
When Vivian met Manfred's gaze, there was a flicker of confusion in her heart.
She was certain this was him because the way he looked at her was the same as before.
Yet, there was something new in his eyes-a hint of curiosity.
But before she could think too much, she heard his voice. "Ten thousand."
And just like that, she was bought. The cage door swung open, and she stepped out.
At that moment, the people around them burst into congratulations.
"Congratulations, Mr. Atkinson! Another beauty for your collection! Such flawless skin, such breathtaking features-truly a rare
gem in this world!"
The voices rang with forced enthusiasm. Many of them took the chance to steal glances at Vivian-brazen and unrestrained.
Because they all knew that if they didn't look now, she would likely be

unrecognizable by tomorrow.
Vivian stepped out of the cage and shivered. It was freezing.
Only then did she notice that everyone else was wearing thick winter coats. Only

the women in the cage had been left exposed to the cold.
And now that it was nighttime, the chill felt even sharper.
Just as she was about to tremble, a cloak fell over her shoulders. It was made of
soft fox fur and still carried the lingering warmth of its owner.
She was wrapped completely inside it before being pulled into Manfred's embrace.
The crowd stared in shock as Manfred carried her out of the black market.
"What's going on? Why is he treating her so gently?"
"Hah! Tooled. Maybe it's just

end of the night."
"Let's make a bet! How long will she last?"

"I say she won't survive past midnight!"
"She's so stunning, and Mr. Atkinson

"Then I bet she'll stay alive!"
"Hahahaha! You'll definitely lose! How could she stay alive? What beauty hasn't
Mr. Atkinson seen?"
The discussion grew heated.
The auctioneer observed the scene and sighed.

But Manfred's behavior today was truly unusual. Was he actually cherishing a mere plaything?
His eyes darkened, and he turned to whisper orders to one of his men.
The man listened, nodded and then slipped silently out of the market.
Vivian and Manfred left the black market in a carriage.
She sat beside him, clutching his arm tightly.
She couldn't help but ask, "Why are you here too? And why do you look younger?"
She was certain this wasn't his world. This was another place, another time.
And just before they left, she had overheard someone saying that they were at Everholm.
