Chapter 1978
Chapter 1978
At Galaxy Villa, Harvey was sitting on the couch, munching on a bag of potato chips.
These were Vivian's favorite chips, and Harvey had happened to spot them. Feeling hungry, he didn't want to bother cooking, so
he grabbed the chips and started eating.
His laptop screen was flashing with various lines of code.
He stared intently at the screen, occasionally glancing around, listening for any sounds. Every half hour, he would put down the
computer and go upstairs to check.
This time, when the half-hour passed, he set his laptop down, casually grabbed two more chips, and started heading upstairs
while munching.
"Not bad. I don't think I've tried this brand before," he muttered to himself.
Soon, he reached Vivian's bedroom.
Standing at the door, he glanced at the empty bed and raised an eyebrow. Then, checking his watch to confirm the time, he
"I have a feeling Vivian will bring Skylar and Joe back this time," Harvey murmured.
He wasn't sure why he was so certain, but the feeling was incredibly strong.
He had a gut feeling that he would soon see Skylar again.
Just thinking that gave him a surge of energy, and he was no longer tired.
Just then, his phone buzzed with a few messages from his business partners. They had been working overtime recently.
He quickly responded to a few texts.
One of his friends texted, "Harvey, you haven't been staying up late much these past few years. It seems like you've been acting
a bit differently these last couple of days, especially tonight. It's 3:00 am, and you're still up!
"What's going on? Got some extra energy? Are you in a relationship? You're this big-time bachelor... Are you finally going to
settle down?"
Harvey's mouth twitched as he read the text. "What nonsense are you spouting? I'm never getting married in this lifetime."
After joking around with his friends
for a bit, he made his way downstairs. He was about to head to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee when suddenly, a bright flash
He immediately shielded his eyes.
"What's going on?" he exclaimed.
When he opened his eyes again, he was stunned by the sight before him. "Skylar? Joe?"
Harvey blinked in surprise as he saw Skylar and Joe standing before him, both dressed in period costumes. Their eyes were
closed, seemingly adjusting to the blinding ligh@that had just flashed.
As they opened their eyes and locked gazes with Harvey, all three stood frozen for a moment.
It was Skylar who broke the silence. "Harvey? You've been waiting here this whole time?"
"Skylar! Is it really you, Skylar? You're finally back!" Harvey's eyes welled up with tears as he gazed in disbelief at Skylar.
He rubbed his eyes forcefully, as though to convince himself this wasn't just some late-night hallucination.
The period costumes they were wearing proved this was no illusion.
Skylar and Joe had spent years in another time.
Joe's expression remained neutral, showing no particular joy, even though it had been years since he had seen Harvey. The
sight of Galaxy Villa didn't seem to affect him much either.
Skylar didn't seem overwhelmed by the reunion either.
Harvey quickly regained his composure and realized something was off.
"Where is Vivian? She was supposed to return with you two, right? Why is it just the two of you?"
He thought, "Had Vivian not come back? What went wrong?"
