Rebirth of the Deadly Beauty

Chapter 585

Chapter 578
"But Toby's unconscious..." Nathan said worriedly.
"He must have just fainted from shock. Even though he wasn't bitten by a poisonous spider, it might be a toxic insect. But don't
worry; his life isn't in danger as long as it's not a poisonous spider."
As an experienced nurse, Linda was familiar with treating insect bites. When she was examining Toby's wound, she noted how
small the bite mark was and immediately decided it could not be a poisonous spider bite.
To discredit Yolanda further, she added pointedly, "Don't speak about things you don't understand! This clearly isn't a poisonous
spider bite. If it were, the patient would be vomiting blood by now!"
"So, how do we treat it?" Reassured by Linda's confident manner, Nathan placed his hope in her expertise.

"I'll clean the wound. Get me a bottle of mineral water." Before she finished speaking, Dunstan handed her an unopened bottle.
He wanted to see exactly how Linda planned to treat Toby.
Yolanda frowned and was about to speak, but Nathan glared at her fiercely. He even blocked her view with his body, so she fell
silent.
"Yolanda..." Winnie tugged gently at Yolanda's sleeve and whispered, "Mom's just being overly professional, so don't mind her..."
Yolanda shook her head at Winnie and continued watching Linda's actions.
Linda rudely snatched the water from Dunstan and began flushing the wound on Toby's arm. She used the entire bottle. Then
she impatiently ordered Dunstan, "Get tweezers, gauze, and alcohol swabs! We're saving someone here! Don't you have any
common sense?"
Though Dunstan wanted to react to Linda's arrogant attitude, saving Toby took priority. He shot her a fierce glare before rushing
back into Willow Creek Clinic for the first aid kit.
The clinic kept several first aid kits ready for emergencies so that they could save people immediately when needed.
Linda opened the kit before taking out alcohol swabs and tweezers to probe the wound. Given her years of nursing experience,
her wound-cleaning technique was proper. But she was tragically wrong—this was indeed a poisonous spider bite, and treating it
like a common insect bite would be ineffective.

Unable to watch any longer, Yolanda spoke up. "This isn't a normal insect bite. This treatment will only waste time-"
"Shut up!" Linda snapped while bandaging Toby. "How dare you distract me with nonsense while I'm treating a patient! Can you
take responsibility if something goes wrong?
"You're just a worthless dropout who has read a few medical books. You never even went to medical school, yet you dare
question me? I'm the head nurse at Westside District Hospital..."
While speaking, Linda finished with a flourish as she tied off the bandage. "There! The wound's treated. Your son will be fine."
Sighing in relief, she wiped the sweat from her brow with a satisfied smile.
"Really?" Nathan asked doubtfully when he saw Toby's ashen face. "Then why hasn't he woken up?"
"Children often faint when they're frightened. He'll wake up soon..."
Before Linda could finish, the previously motionless boy suddenly vomited a large amount of blood. All the blood stained his shirt
red.
"Toby!" Nathan cried out in alarm. He then asked Linda accusingly, "Didn't you say he would be fine?"
