Chapter 573
Chapter 566
"I'll pick you up myself!" Jude declared with sincerity. Instead of dispatching a subordinate, he chose to personally drive to
Cerulean Abode.
He knew Cerulean Abode was Logan's property, and discovering that Yolanda resided in its most prestigious villa left him
momentarily surprised.
However, Jude was wise enough to recognize that certain matters were best left unspoken. Yolanda's capabilities were well-
known to him, and he had no intention of overstepping boundaries that might upset her.
When Yolanda emerged from the villa, Jude maintained his usual composure. His expression remained calm, and his tone was
steady.
"Ms. Henderson, please," he said as he stepped out of the car to open the door for her. Once Yolanda was seated, they set off
for the Kaufman estate. Along the way, Jude provided a brief overview of Alfred's condition.
However, in Havaria—a place brimming with historically prominent families, Yolanda had no memory of the Kaufmans prior to her
rebirth. Even their branch in Creybia, a region teeming with influential families, had failed to leave an impression.
Havaria didn't lack families with deep roots. Beyond the top three powerhouses, many families dominated various industries. To
Yolanda, the so-called rivalries between Riverdale's elite seemed trivial. They were mere petty squabbles that weren't worth her
attention.
Yet, recent events had taken an unusual turn. There was trouble involving Nigel, an attempted assassination of the Seinfields,
and now, from Jude's phone conversation, unrest within the Kaufman family.
For a small city where families had no history of deep enmity, such elaborate schemes felt out of place.
The poisoning incident tied to "Shadowthorn" had already caught Yolanda's attention. Though she remained cautious, exhaustive
research and Rowan's surveillance of underground organizations had yielded no progress.
As time passed, doubt began to creep into her mind. "Have I been focusing in the wrong direction?"
"Ms. Henderson?"
Jude's voice interrupted her train of thought. Snapping back to the present, Yolanda briefly surveyed her surroundings. She
stepped out of the car as Jude attentively held the door open.
The Kaufman estate was vast, its size rivaling that of a medium-sized mansion. The gardens resembled Havaria's classical
landscapes, with every plant meticulously arranged and pruned.
Such gardens were more typical of Southdale, making them a rarity in Riverdale.
There was a considerable distance from the estate gates to the main residence. As Yolanda and Jude began walking, Bennet
arrived in a four-seater golf cart to ferry them the rest of the way.
"Ms. Henderson, please," Bennet said while gesturing to the cart.
They boarded, and after a ten-minute ride, they reached the main residence.
In contrast to the classical gardens, the Kaufman main residence exuded Western architectural elegance. Its grand, imposing
design blended seamlessly with the tranquil, traditional surroundings-a testament to the original family head's vision. "My
grandfather loved classical gardens," Jude explained, as though anticipating Yolanda's thoughts. "He hired craftsmen to design
all of this during his tenure. When my father inherited the family, he preserved the style.
"When you have some time, I'll show you around the gardens," Jude offered with a polite smile.
"Let's focus on Alfred first," Yolanda replied. Her interest in the gardens was minimal. Her primary reason for coming was to treat
Jude's father; everything else could wait.
"This way. My father is expecting you and is already waiting in the living room," Jude said as he led her inside.
