Bianca couldn’t help but smirk, thinking to herself. “This is gonna be a walk in the park. Elysia’s got some serious guts, stepping
up to compete with me in schoolwork. She’s way out of my league
“Since we’re having a contest, there should be a prize on the liner Bianca said, leaning in toward Elysia with a mocking grin. “If
you lose, you’re out of Class 1! Are you in?”
When the crowd caught wind of the bet, they perked right up. It looked like Elysia was a goner, bound to get booted from
Class 1.
But Justin was frowning. He wasn’t sure what Elysia’s deal was academically. Judging by how she approached the Language
and Composition test, things didn’t look too good.
“Think Elysia’s got a shot?” Leon whispered to Justin, leaning in close.
Justin just shook his head, as clueless as the rest.
“I’m in! What about you if you lose?” Elysia said, her voice steady as a rock.
“I’m not gonna lose!” Bianca retorted, her voice firm,
“You’re tripping. It’s more like you can’t take me down! Elysia’s eyes twinkled with amusement, her lips curving into a sly
grin.
She then advised, “How about this? If you lose, you gotta do frog jumps around the track for twenty laps, and you gotta holler
that I’m a loser while you’re doing them.”
Bianca scrunched up her face, hesitating. She was pretty sure Elysia couldn’t pull off a win but seeing that confident smirk on
Elysia’s face threw her a bit
Noticing Bianca’s silence, Elysia raised an eyebrow and asked, “Chicken?”

Bianca thought to herself, ‘Elysia didn’t even finish elementary school. There’s no way she’s beating me. She’s just all talk. trying
to bluff me.”
With that mindset, she nodded and said, “I ain’t scared of nothing!”
The competition kicked off. The question was tossed out by one of the brainy girls in class–a sequence problem.
As soon as it
figured Elfie, Elysia just stared at the question. Bianca, though, was already scribbling away. Seeing Elysia’s delay, she
figured Elysia was clueless and couldn’t help but taunt her. “Stumped, are you?”
“Ten seconds head start for you!” Elysia said, her voice slicing through the air. The crowd did a double–take at that remark: it
wasn’t super mean, but it was a major burn.
Bianca clenched the chalk in her hand, her resolve hardening. She thought, ‘Just you wait, Elysia. You’re gonna be bawling your
eyes out soon.
When the ten seconds were almost up. Elysia finally started writing on the blackboard.
Just when everyone was sure Elysia was toast, their eyes widened as they watched the two of them work through the problemn.

“Whoa, she’s actually catching up with some slick math moves!” student in the audience blurted out in surprise. Everyone was
flabbergasted, thinking Bianca might actually go down.
Watching from the sidelines, Justin and Leon were also caught off guard. They figured Elysia had been keeping her A–game
under wraps.
Stealing a glance sideways, Bianca noticed Elysia had already jotted down the final answer, which meant she was the one

who lost.
Her chalk slipped from the blackboard and hit the ground with a crack, breaking in two. She actually lost, and she couldn’t wrap
her head around it.
With her hands casually stuffed in her pockets, Elysia looked at Bianca with a playful smirk. “Time to pay up! Don’t forget to
holler that I’m a loser while you’re jumping.”
Bianca just stood there, stunned into silence for what felt like forever.
The audience of students was left speechless and shocked. They’d always seen Elysia as a total slacker, someone who got in
through connections, and they never thought she could solve a problem like that. They were wondering if she cheated or
something.
Noticing Bianca’s dazed expression, Elysia added, “It’s not that you’re dumb. It’s just that you picked the wrong opponent. You
can never beat me, so don’t get all down on yourself.”
With that parting shot, she was about to turn and walk away wheb Bianca called out to her, saying, “That round didn’t count. Best
two out of three.”
Elysia raised an eyebrow, saying, “Even if it’s best three out of five, you still can’t win against me!”
and you won’t get lucky again!”
Elysia gave a little laugh. “Figuring stuff out isn’t about being lucky. It’s all up here,” she said, tapping her head with a smile.
Feeling offended, Bianca argued back. “I wasn’t ready for that last round. Give it another
Then she added after some thought. “Here’s the deal. I’ll give you another chance. You can pick anyone in our class to compete
against me. If they win, you win. Cool?”
“Are you for real?” Bianca asked, her voice shaking a bit.
“Do I seem like I’m joking?” Elysia said, still keeping it light.
This time, Bianca wasn’t gonna jump in without thinking. She knew Elysia’s offer was a bit of a burn like she wasn’t even worth
competing with directly.

But if she lost again, she would have to do frog jumps around the track for twenty laps and call herself a loser.
Getting humiliated in front of the whole class was way worse than doing frog jumps in front of everyone at school She didn’t want
to be the monkey in a zoo everyone gawked at.
Bianca started scanning the classroom, looking for someone who could help her out. She looked around and figured Justin was
the best bet.

Justin’s the top student. With him on my side, we’ll definitely be klysta. I just hope he’ll agree to help me. But no matter what, I’ve
got to give it a shot!‘ she thought.
With that in mind, she turned to Justin and sairl, “Justin, I’d like ask for your help in answering the question. Inside, she

was a bundle of nerves, scared that Justin would say no.

Everyone else also turned their hopeful gazes toward Justin, wishing he’d agree to Bianca’s request. That way, there might still
be a chance to kick Elysia out of Class 1.
Seeing all eyes on Justin, Leon nudged the person next to him and whispered, “What do you think? Gonna help or what?”
Justin furrowed his brows. He hadn’t expected Bianca to come to him. He wondered, ‘Have I been too friendly, giving Bianc the
wrong idea?
Seeing his furrowed brows, Bianca panicked inside, thinking, ‘Is he gonna turn me down?”
The next second, Justin replied, “Sorry” His voice was cold and distant, making all the other classmates gasp.
Sure enough, Justin was still the top student, not one to mingle with the ordinary folks. Bianca had picked the wrong person. and
their hope of getting Elysia out of Class 1 was dashed.
The classroom fell into an awkward silence suddenly. Nobody knew what to do next.

“I’ll do it!” someone suddenly said.
Hearing the volunteer, everyone turned to look. They saw Robert step out from the crowd.
Someone slapped their thigh in excitement, surprised they’d forgotten about Robert. He had been in training in Jorlandia and had
only returned a few days ago, so many people had subconsciously overlooked him.
Robert ranked second in the grade and had won first place in a math competition before. With him on their side, taking down
Elysia should be a piece of cake.
Hope flared up again among everyone, thinking that maybe, just maybe, they could still get Elysia out of Class 1.
Bianca looked at Robert, and after a moment, she said, “You really mean it?”
“We’re all classmates here. It’s only right to help each other out, Robert said, his words a bit high–sounding. Technically, they
were classmates and should help each other.
But if he helped Bianca outdo Elysia, Elysia would get the boot from Class 1. Between Bianca doing frog jumps and Elysia losing
her spot in Class I forever, Robert knew which one was the bigger deal.
He acted as if he was just helping a classmate, the same as everyone else. Actually, his goal was the same as theirs to get
Elysia out. He just phrased it more tactfully, not wanting to make things too awkward or burn any bridges.
Everyone in the room understood the real meaning behind his words but chose not to point it out. They were all in the same
boat, after all, with the same goal.
And they all agreed that having Robert step in was way better than relying on the always cold and distant Justin. They all gave
him a mental cheer.
Elysia watched as Robert stepped up, and she thought to herself Alright. As your former teacher, it’s time for another lesson.
Let’s see if you can handle a little life schooling”
She raised an eyebrow at Robert, her expression calm and cool. What do you want to compete in?”
