Everyone’s gaze fell on Stella. Originally, RK was like the moon, always surrounded by others like stars. No matter where he
went or what he did, he always became the center of attention. It was as if everything revolved around her.
However, after hearing her words, everyone scrutinized Stella from head to toe.
“Mr. Kingston, this...” The man sitting next to RK made room for him.
Being under such scrutiny made Stella very uncomfortable. She walked awkwardly toward RK and suddenly found herself
surrounded by the crowd. The others were RK’s friends, but they didn’t dare say anything.
It was James, who seemed to have a good relationship with RK, who spoke half-jokingly. “Looks like she’s RK’s new mistress!
He didn’t bring his fiancée with him when he came to see us today!”. James was blunt and didn’t care too much about how he
sounded.
It was the first time Stella had met with RK’s friends. In the past, when she was married to this man, she always stayed at RK’s
mansion.
At most, she would go out to school. This man never took her anywhere or let her meet anyone else. Even now, Stella had never
met RK’s parents.
This man was so enigmatic that she had trouble seeing through his thoughts. Stella sat next to him awkwardly, realizing they

didn’t know it was his ex-wife.
She was about to clarify that she was only his employee when the man sitting next to her opened his mouth and said,
“Secretary.”
Now that the boss had introduced her personally, she didn’t need to say anything.
James, like a deflated balloon, muttered, “Oh,” and averted his eyes from Stella. The others averted their eyes as well.
James then said, “RK, I hear you’re getting married next month. Congratulations.”
“That’s right, Mr. Kingston! We’re all waiting for your wedding invitations! Don’t forget to invite us!”
James acted as the host of the party. Whatever he said, everyone followed his lead. Of course, RK was the headliner.

Stella, sitting next to him, didn’t know why, but every time she heard people talking about her wedding, she felt very
uncomfortable. This feeling was painful.
RK said nothing, but there was a faint smile in his deep blue eyes, visible only because the room was dimly lit.
After chatting for a while, James said, “By the way, Rene, would you like me to find you two young ladies? Recently, Starlight
nightclub got a new batch. They’re all very promising.” As he spoke, James pulled the woman sitting next to him toward RK.
“This is Tina! Remember, what do you think of her figure?”. James reached out and slapped the woman named Tina hard on the
butt. “Come on, Mr. Kingston!”
“Hey, don’t be rude!” In this group of powerful men, there was a common problem: they often played with women outside when
they had money. That’s why not many of them thought well of RK’s upcoming marriage.

They didn’t think he would avoid touching other women just because he was getting married. That was not the case in their eyes
at all.
So, without thinking, they pushed the women away. Tina, seeing an opportunity, walked toward RK as fast as she could, calling
out in a sweet voice, “Mr. Kingston.”
“Don’t touch women other men have touched,” RK said, taking a cigarette from the person sitting next to him. From start to finish,
he didn’t even look at Tina.
Suddenly, Tina stood in the middle, feeling very embarrassed. She didn’t know whether to move forward or backward. James
pulled her back awkwardly and said, “Go back. Don’t just stand there. Don’t get in Mr. Kingston’s way.”
The person who had given RK the cigarette now pulled out a lighter, trying to curry favor with him. “Mr. Kingston, the new girls at
Starlight nightclub are not ordinary! I hear they are not only good looking, but also very pure. They’re all here and they must be
very interested in you. Why don’t I pick some for you? You can play with them tonight, and I’ll bear the expenses!”
Stella was caught between the man who had just handed her the cigarette and RK. Her expression wasn’t very good.
This damn man! If he wanted to play with women, fine. Why had he brought her here? She didn’t want to see these men flirting
with women!

Stella felt that this group of people were too disrespectful to women. So what if they had money?
Stella stood up and said, “Mr. Kingston, I’ll go first. You can take your time.”
