Chapter 54
Chapter 54:.
Stella could not understand RK’s character as CEO. He was so unpredictable that no one could see through his thoughts. All she
knew was that this man was very scary!
It was clear that I had only been on the phone for three minutes, but after that man showed up, everything seemed to turn
horrible. It was as if I had committed a huge crime just to make a call. It was terrifying.
“Miss Richard, you don’t seem to know the company rules,” RK said as he approached her. His pace was neither too fast nor too
slow, but that was why no one knew what he was thinking. It made people feel afraid, as if the danger was getting closer and
closer.
Stella didn’t know what she had done wrong and just looked at him blankly.
“You are not allowed to do anything in the company that is not work-related during working hours,” stated RK.
RK walked past the Secretary General, picked up a copy of the company’s rules and regulations and placed the book on Stella’s
desk with a resounding thud.
Bang! The sound echoed through the company, numbing Stella’s mind.
She didn’t know how she had provoked this man. Why did he want to control everything about her – her lunch hour, her time
after work and now even her phone calls?
If he said she couldn’t do anything that didn’t have to do with work, why didn’t he say anything when he was intimate with Sophia
in the morning? Stella felt very offended.
He turned his head away because he didn’t want to see her face.
book on the table. “Memorize this rule for tomorrow and come to my office to recite it to me.”
Stella was furious.
She snapped at him, “Rene Kingston! You’re not finished yet? You want me to memorize the rules just because I made a phone
call? You docked my pay during the lunch break. If you want me to leave, say so. Why do you pull these tricks?” This damn man!

It was too much! Did she think she could do whatever she wanted just because she was the boss? Once she made enough
money to support herself and Adrian, she would leave this place.
In comparison to Stella, RK remained calm. There was no anger on his face at her outburst. He even said in a calm tone, “You
are not allowed to raise your voice to your boss. Your voice must be lower than mine.”
Stella was speechless. It was great.
He sat back, realizing that it was better if he didn’t say anything. It didn’t matter what she said; he wouldn’t like it anyway.
When he sat down, the man next to him ordered, “Come on. You can memorize the rules after you get home.”
After speaking, he walked away, waiting for Stella to keep up.
This damned man! Did he think he was the only one in the world? “Arrogant! Shameless!” she cursed him in her heart. If it
weren’t for the difference in strength between men and women, Stella would have wanted to beat this annoying man to death
just to vent her anger!
Stella followed him to the city’s famous nightclub. It wasn’t until he arrived that he realized he hadn’t brought her for a meeting. It
was clear he had come to pick up girls under the guise of business.
Why would a man come to a place like this if it wasn’t to pick up girls? If he wanted to do that, fine. But why did he bring her
As soon as Stella entered the room, she rolled her eyes. “Kingston, you’re here!”
It was as if this man often came to this place to have fun. Upon hearing he was coming tonight, the manager of Starlight
Nightclub planted himself at the entrance with a group of people to welcome him.
RK hummed in response. His deep voice faded into the noisy atmosphere. In a place like this, people had to listen carefully, for
fear of missing what he was saying.
The manager led them to a private room.
There were men and women inside, but it didn’t look like they were there on business.
“René...” The interlocutor was a man in his thirties. As soon as he saw RK, he greeted him cordially.
After that, everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and called him “Mr. Kingston.” But no one dared to call him by
name, except that man.
The man, James Miller, came over and put his arm around RK’s shoulder. “RK, come, sit here! It’s been so long since we’ve
seen each other. It’s harder to meet you than a king.”
“That’s right! Mr. RK, we have been looking for you many times. It’s hard for friends to meet. Today, you are not allowed to leave
early!” added the speaker, another person sitting on the sofa.
They all seemed to be RK’s friends. Stella was following RK closely. Because of her status, as soon as she appeared, everyone
made way for her. She soon became the center of attention.
As for Stella, she stood in the middle, not knowing where to go. “Rene, sit here!”
James steered RK toward the center, and soon found himself surrounded by his friends.
The man sitting on the couch looked at Stella lazily and said, “Come, sit here!”. He was sitting cross-legged on the couch and
pointed to the seat next to her.
