Lost Me Gained Regret

Chapter 900

Chapter 900
Dailey shot him a cold glance.
"Always fooling kids, aren't you?"
He was the one who ran off for years without a word, and now his wife left him. Serves him right.
Gina wasn't the naive girl she used to be. She wouldn't be easily swayed by Quentin's smooth talk.
"She's familiar with Dailey-they're a couple now. There's no need for me to stick around," Gina retorted.
A glint of calculation flashed in Quentin's eyes.
"We need some promotional photos for this collaboration. Since you're so close to her, you'll work better together. Why not stay
and help her out? After all, she's new here."
Christine opened her mouth to speak, but Dailey nudged her to stay quiet.
She exchanged looks with him, communicating without words: They were in cahoots, like snakes and rats in the same lair.
Dailey remained silent.
"You don't lack photographers," Gina said, wavering slightly, but she was reluctant to go along with Quentin's plan.
"None as good as you," Quentin remarked smoothly.

A mix of flattery and persuasion. Christine almost applauded.
"But I have other commitments," Gina replied.
Quentin coaxed, "Can't you reschedule a bit for a friend?"
Gina and Christine hadn't known each other long, but they hit it off and became friends. Otherwise, Gina wouldn't have offered
her a 10% discount. She never gave discounts!
Plus, Christine's project involved incorporating heritage styles into modern fashion, which intrigued Gina.
Christine couldn't hold back anymore. "Gina, do whatever makes you happy," she encouraged.

Quentin's eyes flashed with displeasure.
Dailey spoke up, "Can I say something?"
Gina nodded, "You did save me once."
"Then hang out with my wife for a bit?"
"Okay," Gina agreed.
Dailey shot Quentin a smug, disdainful look.
Quentin remained silent.
Christine was itching for some
gossip, but she hated to see a young woman being pressured. She was ready to step in, but since Gina
chose to stay, she had no choice but totet it be.

"Move over a bit, sweetheart," Hannah said to another girl nearby. "Tonight's on me."
The girl happily vacated her seat for another table, and Hannah pulled Gina down beside her. Hannah was straightforward and
asked directly, "How did my brother force you back here?"
Gina glared at Quentin. "He halted our team's shoot under the pretense of environmental protection."
"We were waiting for a rare cloud formation, and because of him, we missed it." Hannah shot her brother a scornful look and
patted Gina's shoulder comfortingly.
"I have an idea for you. At the family gathering, make sure to tell on him."
"He'll end up kneeling in the ancestral hall."
"Think about it—his current status, being punished like that. Feels good, doesn't it?"
Gina beamed, "Hannah, you always have the best ideas."
Hannah gave a modest shrug. "No biggie."

Christine watched Quentin intently. His gaze never left Gina's face, filled with an overwhelming tenderness that seemed so out of
character. And to her surprise, when Gina
laughed, he laughed along with her.
It was as if a towering mountain lowered itself just so you wouldn't have to look
up.
But it was a shame. He didn't cherish her when he had the chance, and now that she's gone, he's full of regret. What's the point?
"Ouch!"
Christine's cheek was suddenly pinched.
She looked up into the teasing eyes of a man.
"Fiancée, I'm still alive, you know. Is it proper to keep staring at another man?"
