Lost Me Gained Regret

Chapter 899

Chapter 899
Christine's ears perked up immediately.
Just downstairs, when Dailey introduced Quentin to her, she was taken aback to learn he was Gina's husband, ten years her
senior. She hadn't expected to meet him so soon.
Unlike Bella's cryptic tales, Christine was eager to uncover the full story of this tangled love affair that blossomed after marriage.
As she pondered asking about it, the door to the private room swung open.
In stormed a familiar face, furious, and without hesitation, grabbed a glass of wine from the table and threw it in Quentin's face.
"You're despicable!"
Quentin, in his thirties and at the helm of The Hawthornes, was known for his shrewdness and cunning. His presence alone
commanded respect, and it was unheard of for anyone to confront him, let alone douse him with wine.
Yet, Quentin showed no sign of anger. Instead, he gently dabbed his face with a napkin and spoke softly, "I'm glad you came to
see me."
Gina turned to leave, but Quentin caught her wrist.
"Since you're back, come with me to the Ferguson Mansion tomorrow."
Gina refused outright.
Quentin remained patient and warm, "It's a family dinner. You promised my parents."

Gina shook Quentin off. "I'll go back myself tomorrow."
As she spoke, she suddenly noticed Christine.
"Sis, what are you doing here?"
Christine waved at her, "Here for a business meeting."

"With whom?" Gina's eyes widened, pointing at Quentin. "Don't tell me, with him."
Christine nodded.
Gina rushed over, grabbing Christine to leave.
"Sis, you don't know Quentin. He's got traps hidden in every word. You can't deal
with someone like him. You won't even know what hit you!"
"Come on, let's go."
Dailey held Christine back.
Only then did Gina notice Dailey. "You're here too?"
Dailey nodded, "She's my fiancée."
Gina looked between Christine and Dailey, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke.
"Mr. Clarkson is decent, but he's friends with Quentin. Sis, you still need to be careful."
Christine had been cautious, but it didn't help much.
From Gina's description of Quentin, she understood why Dailey and Quentin were friends. Birds of a feather, indeed.
"Don't worry, this collaboration isn't
a trap. It

not about making money.
It's about promoting the Janedream
brand I founded with my best
friend."
"Janedream is already huge, with the Ford Group backing you. Why seek more publicity?"

"We want to blend with cultural heritage themes and make a splash on the international stage."

Gina's interest piqued. "That sounds amazing. I'll definitely come and photograph the event abroad.
capture something truly stunning for you."
Christine nodded enthusiastically. "Once we're ready, we'll let you know. With your photography skills, we'll carve out a new
path."
The two chatted passionately, oblivious to the world around them.
Hannah's laughter eventually interrupted their animated conversation.
"It must be fate, little sister-in-law.
Ou're destined to be part of
hitting it off so well with
friend's wife."
At the mention of Quentin, Gina's smile faded.

She turned to Christine, "I've got to go, I have things to do. Let's keep in touch."
Quentin wasn't about to let her leave so easily after dragging her back.
"Stay and play for a while."
Gina protested, but Quentin insisted, "Your friend just arrived in Cliffside Town. As
the host, shouldn't you stay and keep her company?"
