Chapter 2477

Chapter 2477
Absolutely!
Jason couldn't help but chuckle, his hand instinctively going to his forehead as he laughed, his shoulders shaking slightly.
Sophia had never seen him laugh like this before. Flushed with embarrassment and trying to keep a stern face, she scolded,
"Stop laughing!"
Jason served her some more food, saying, "I've always focused on nurturing your spirit, maybe neglecting the intellect a bit. I'll
make sure to enrich that aspect more often from now on!"
Sophia couldn't help but laugh at his comment, "I suspect you've been hoarding all the smarts for yourself!"
That explained why he was so clever, and she felt so clueless!
Jason looked at her with a soft smile, "Well, that's not an issue. Children tend to inherit the average of their parents' traits!"
Sophia looked at him, surprised. How did they get on the topic of children again? She knew he moved quickly with things, but
she felt she couldn't keep up!
Seeing her expression, Jason found her even more endearing, "I called my mom today. She wanted to call you, but I suggested
she wait a couple more days, worried you might feel uncomfortable."
Sophia muttered, "It's okay, we're practically family."

Her gaze shifted as she lowered her voice to ask, "Does Lia know about my past relationships? I mean, I just went through a
breakup, and suddenly I'm with you. Did Lia say anything?"
"My mom," Jason began, waiting until Sophia looked up curiously before continuing, "sighed deeply and said I finally came to my
senses!"
Sophia burst into laughter!
She was laughing so hard, she had to lean on the table, nearly unable to stop. It wasn't until Jason patted her back, cautioning
her not to choke, that she eventually rested her arms on the table, turning to him, "So, it was you who needed to come to your
senses, hahaha!"

"Yes, I should've realized sooner. Regardless of whether you liked me or not, I should've kept you close and never let you go!"
Jason said earnestly.
Through her laughter and tears, Sophia gradually stopped laughing, sitting up to apologize, "I'm sorry. I was the foolish one, not
realizing your feelings for me sooner."
"If you had known earlier, would you have chosen me over Robin?" Jason asked. Sophia thought for a moment, then gently
shook her head.
Jason let out a soft laugh, "I shouldn't have asked that. Let's keep eating."
Sophia took a spoonful of her soup, then suddenly remembered something, asking Jason, "Didn't you say you wanted me to
move in after your business trip? Why the change of plans?"

"Where you live doesn't really matter, so why not move now?"
With Jason's decisive tone, Sophia had no choice but to agree.
In the afternoon, with Jason away, Sophia felt time dragging on endlessly.
Tina teased her, saying it felt like ages since she last saw him, laughing that she was a woman deeply in love.
While working on her designs, Sophia couldn't help but get lost in thought, trying to figure out how she had fallen so deeply into
Jason's net. Was it the deep- seated familiarity that made her rely on and be moved by Jason, or was it because she was
rebounding from a recent heartbreak that she accepted him so quickly?
Shaking her head, Sophia continued with her designs.
Finally, the afternoon passed, and at closing time, Tina told her to head home.
Sophia glanced at the time, asking her to go ahead.
She decided to wait for Jason.
Looking out at the gloomy, rainy day, she remembered her high school days when she would sit alone in the classroom, waiting
for Jason to pick her up whenever it rained.

Some things truly come full circle.
As the weather worsened, darkness fell early. While Sophia was browsing through her bookshelf for materials, she felt a man's
arms wrap around her from behind.
A sudden joy surged through her heart, and turning within his embrace, her smile was radiant, "You're back?"
Jason cupped her chin, leaning down to kiss her.
Backed against the bookshelf, the dim light of dusk filtered through the blinds, casting delicate shadows on her fair skin, making
her look whimsically charming.
Their kisses deepened, accompanied by the soft patter of rain, enveloping them in an involuntary tenderness.
For a long while, they kissed, as if competing with the spring rain for which could be more lingering.
