Chapter 2476

Chapter 2476
The morning flew by, and as lunchtime approached, the rain hadn't let up. Sophia received a text from Jason, asking her to come
to his office.
She knocked on the door and upon hearing Jason's voice, pushed it open. "Mr. Gilder, did you need me?"
Jason was browsing through a bookshelf and glanced over, pointing at the coffee table. "Let's have lunch."
Only then did Sophia notice the insulated lunch bag on the table. "Did you order this?"
"Yeah, it's raining outside. No need to go out!" Jason said.
Sophia raised an eyebrow, murmuring, "Dating the boss sure has its perks!"
Jason replied calmly, "Marrying the boss is a whole different story."
Sophia frowned. "Mr. Gilder, that's crossing the line. Who jumps straight to marriage talk right after getting together?"
Jason fixed his gaze on her. "Getting together?"
Blushing, Sophia stammered, "I mean, just... just deciding to be in a relationship!"

Jason's look deepened. "So, you're admitting we're together now?"
Sophia, with her short, stylish hair, huffed. "If you don't want me to take responsibility, forget I said anything!"
She quickly turned and headed for the table, already enticed by the aroma.
Lifting the lids from the lunch containers, she found a fish stew.
"Why fish stew?" Sophia asked casually.
Jason approached, his voice smooth and deep, "Just taking care of you in advance."
Sophia stared at him, almost spilling the soup on him. She had underestimated him; he could say anything without batting an
eye!
They sat down to eat, the window open, letting in the soft sound of rain, creating a peaceful and cozy atmosphere.

Jason poured her some stew and asked in a serious tone, "Feeling alright? I have to head out later, but I can pick up some
medicine for you."
Sophia, a bit slow on the uptake, looked down and shook her head. "I'm fine."
"Alright," Jason nodded. "I'll be back before the end of the workday. Don't worry if I'm a bit late, just wait for me."
"Okay!" Sophia agreed, taking a big bite of her lasagna. Looking up, she noticed Jason watching her and wiped her mouth. "Do I

have something on my face?"
"No," Jason said, his eyes warm. "I just enjoy looking at you."
Sophia chuckled at his straightforwardness and offered him a piece of lasagna, her eyes twinkling. "Let's eat. I'm not going
anywhere."
"We should stop by your place later to pick up some clothes and books," Jason suggested.
"For what?" Sophia asked, biting her utensil.
"To move to my place. I spoke with Mrs. Jasmine this morning. She's on board!" Sophia gasped. "You told my mom? How?"
Even though her mom had always been supportive of her and Jason, the thought of her knowing they had slept together made
Sophia feel like she was caught doing something wrong.
Jason remained calm. "I just told the truth. I've informed my family as well." Sophia was astounded. "Did you have to broadcast it
to everyone?"
Jason looked puzzled. "What do you mean?"
Flustered, Sophia stood up, tucking a stray hair behind her ear with more force than necessary. "We're adults. Do we really need
to tell our parents about us... sleeping together?"
Jason's eyes stayed on her, "You misunderstood. I only told them we're seeing each other."
She had overreacted.
Slowly sitting back down, she gave a nonchalant "Oh."
