Chapter 2474
Chapter 2474
The continuous drizzle had persisted for two days, leaving Sophia and Jason confined indoors, making for a surprisingly
pleasant and busy weekend.
Come Monday, as Sophia settled into her chair at the office, she couldn't help but feel a sudden appreciation for the routine,
finding work to be a welcome respite.
Tina, carrying a steaming cup of coffee, waltzed into Sophia's office and placed it on her desk, promptly briefing her on the day's
schedule.
Sophia sipped her coffee while jotting down notes.
Tina chuckled, "The editor from 'Jewelry Sentiments' magazine called, expressing interest in interviewing you. Should I schedule
it?"
After a moment's thought, Sophia looked up, "Let's aim for next week. This week's packed."
Sophia, clad in a maxi dress that wasn't a new addition to her wardrobe, responded with surprise, "Really?"
"Absolutely, you're glowing! Is there some good news? An official announcement with Mr. Gilder on the horizon?" Tina teased.
The comment, though made in jest, caused Sophia to blush slightly, feigning nonchalance as she reached for her coffee, "No
news, just well-rested from the weekend!"
"But everyone's usually dragging on Mondays. You're just more dedicated!" Tina playfully complimented.
Sophia could only offer a silent smile in response.
Her phone buzzed. Glancing at the screen, she noticed an unfamiliar number and answered, "Hello, Snowy Studios speaking."
"Hello, Sophia, it's me!" A man's voice came through.
Recognition dawned on Sophia instantly, recalling the couple she had met the previous Friday, "Mr. Connor!"
"That's me!" Connor laughed, "Do you have some time today? I'd like to meet and discuss the ring."
Sophia inquired, "Is it urgent?"
"Just wanted to talk about the ring design."
"Why not skip the studio? There's a coffee shop across from your office building. I'll drive over now, and we can meet there in
about half an hour," suggested Connor cheerfully.
"That works," Sophia consented.
After finalizing their plans, Sophia hung up, with Tina immediately inquiring, "A client?"
"Yep," Sophia nodded, "He wants me to design a wedding ring."
"Did you finalize the design?" Tina probed.
"Not yet, I'm going to show them a couple of designs first."
"It's usually the ladies who fuss over the ring design. Why's her fiancé calling you directly, and suggesting a coffee shop meet-
up?" Tina expressed her skepticism, sensing something off, "I'll come with you, just in case. Better safe than sorry!" Sophia
laughed off Tina's concern, "It's not as serious as you think."
"Still, better to be cautious," Tina insisted gravely.
Though Sophia felt a public space like a coffee shop wouldn't be risky, Tina's earnestness swayed her, "Alright, let's go together
then."
"Deal!" Tina agreed without hesitation.
After organizing a few tasks, the half hour quickly elapsed, and Sophia, along with Tina, made their way to the coffee shop
across the street.
About ten minutes past their agreed time, Connor arrived, profusely apologizing, "Sorry, sorry for the wait. It's
