Chapter 2473

Chapter 2473
Sophie's cheeks flushed a rosy pink as she playfully protested, "Who says that? I'm actually not feeling great."
"Where does it hurt?" Jason asked with genuine concern.
His earnestness made Sophie's heart flutter, and she leaned into his embrace without a word.
Jason, pressing his forehead against hers, whispered, "We didn't take any precautions last night!"
Instantly, Sophie remembered the blue box and looked up at him, a hint of nervousness in her eyes, "Could I be pregnant?"
Jason smiled lightly, "What's there to worry about? If you're pregnant, we'll just get married!"
"No way, that's not going to happen!" Sophie quickly replied.
Jason frowned, his tone serious, "Then we keep trying until it happens!"
Sophie shook her head, "I don't want to get married just because of a pregnancy."
"We're not like that!" Jason said softly, caressing her forehead, "I want the pregnancy to come after the marriage!"
Sophie pondered for a moment then laughed, "Then you're even more cunning!"
Jason held her tightly, "I've given myself to you, now you're responsible for me alone!"

Feeling slightly embarrassed, Sophie slipped her arms around him and patted his back, "Don't worry!"
Jason wrapped his arms around her waist and gently kissed her shoulder.
Some things, once they start happening, just naturally continue.
Through the curtains, the outside world appeared a blur of misty hues, with the entire city enveloped in a gentle drizzle. The fog
layering over everything, muffling the usual cacophony of noises.
Only the sprouting buds on the willows stood out in this misty rain, swaying in the wind, their vibrant greenery a stark contrast to
the grey surroundings. Nourished by the rain, they seemed even more delicate and lush.
It wasn't until noon that Sophie had her first meal of the day. Jason had prepared

a hearty brunch with four dishes. Watching her devour the food, he couldn't help but frown, "Slow down, no one's going to steal it
from you!"
Sophie, with a mouthful of shrimp, chewed vigorously before swallowing, "I was starving!"
Jason chuckled softly, serving her more food and filling her bowl with soup.
After brunch, Jason had to attend a video conference and brought Sophie along
to the home office. Along the way, she complained, "Is this humane? Working on a Saturday?"
"Emergency meeting," Jason explained, settling her on the couch with a

magazine, "Just stay here and be good."
Sophie wasn't pleased, "I want to watch TV!"
"Nothing good on TV," Jason dismissed.
"Then I want to go to my room and work on some designs!"
"I'm not heartless enough to make you work on a Saturday."
Resigned, Sophie picked up the magazine, which she had already read, and started flipping through it aimlessly. Watching
Jason's silhouette as he worked, she felt a flutter in her heart and quickly looked away.
Half an hour later, the meeting was over, and Sophie had fallen asleep.
Jason watched her for a moment before carrying her back to their bedroom.
She was quiet in his arms, perfectly content.
Sophie slept for two hours, and upon waking, was immediately greeted by Jason's kiss. Still drowsy, she kissed him back and
asked, "Is it still raining?"
Jason didn't respond.

In those moments, Sophie saw a side of Jason that was unknown to others - dominating, passionate, and fiercely protective,
tearing away the facade of his refined demeanor.
Of course, he could also be incredibly warm and tender, a stark contrast to his usual aloofness.
Sophie was captivated by this side of him, her body and soul quickly succumbing to his charm.
Instinctively, she found herself following his lead, losing any semblance of her own will. Perhaps it was an ingrained belief from
her upbringing, deep down she knew he would never harm her, and what he offered was always the best.
