Chapter 2470
Chapter 2470
Sophie clutched at his shirt, "You can't just hang up on me for no reason!"
"Okay, sure!" the man replied softly.
Sophie looked up, "What about you? What are you thinking about?"
Jason lifted his hand to her face, his fingertips gently tracing her eyebrows and eyelids, "I'm thinking about how I can make you
fall in love with me as soon as possible. To completely forget about him!"
Sophie's eyes sparkled, as if only now deeply feeling the unrest in his heart.
He always seemed so composed and in control, as if he had everyone and everything figured out. Lately, Sophie even felt like
her relationship with Jason was entirely orchestrated by him. But now, she realized, he could feel fear too.
Inside, Sophie felt a tiny thrill of victory but didn't show it, merely lowering her gaze, "How am I supposed to fall in love with you if
you're always lecturing me?"
Sophie's eyes darted around, "Well, you always seem to have an attitude problem!"
Jason said earnestly, "I'll change!"
Sophie couldn't help but smile, still speaking in a somewhat displeased tone, "Then from now on, you can't look down on me,
lecture me, or lose your temper with me. Can you do that?"
Jason solemnly replied, "I've never looked down on you."
Sophie pursed her lips, "Really?"
"Really."
Feeling overjoyed, Sophie pressed her face against his chest, hugging him tightly, "I'm not fickle. Once I decided to break up with
Robin, I never thought of looking back. Being with you, I wouldn't take your feelings lightly!"
Jason's eyes darkened, "I know, it's my own issue."
"I was feeling really upset just now!" Sophie huffed.
"It's my fault. That's why I rushed over to apologize."
Before Sophie could say more, she sneezed suddenly. Jason frowned, picked her up, and carried her to the living room.
As Jason turned to leave, Sophie grabbed his sleeve, "Where are you going?"
Seeing the reluctance in her eyes, a flicker of joy crossed Jason's heart, and he softened his voice, "Do we still have that cold
remedy I bought? I'll make it for you." fo
Sophie let go, "It's in the kitchen cabinet."
"Wait here!" Jason said.
"Okay!" Sophie nodded obediently, snug under the covers.
Sophie hadn't been home in days, and there was no hot water. Jason boiled some, made the remedy, and brought it to her.
Sitting by the bed, Jason's handsome face broke into a gentle smile, "You know you're not strong. Remember that!"
"You're lecturing me again!" Sophie's eyes widened, "What did you just say?"
"That's not lecturing. It's caring

Jason looked at her expressionlessly, "Go back where?"
"To your place..." Sophie's words trailed off as she met his deep, dark gaze, suddenly finding herself at a loss for words.
