Awake for Love: My Coma Bridegroom

Chapter 658

Violette thought she was trapped in some sort of bizarre nightmare.
How else could she make sense of the words being hurled at her?
She was minding her own business, safe within the confines of her home. What could possibly have gone wrong?
“Violette, when you visited the Caesar’s Palace, did you, uh, get intimate with some guy?” Mike asked, noticing her silent confusion.
“What do you mean exactly?” She asked, genuinely perplexed.
“You know, that sort of thing...” Mike stammered, feeling too embarrassed to be too explicit.
His hesitance clued her in quickly.
“Why would you say that?” she asked, clutching her phone as she walked towards her room. “Mike, what on earth happened?”
“I’m gonna send you a video. You need to see if it’s you,” Mike said. His voice was tinged with urgency. “I know the woman in the video isn’t you, but
she looks so alarmingly similar...”

Violette had an inkling of what this was about.
She ended the call and saw the message from Mike with the attached video.
Taking a deep breath, she tapped to play it.
The woman’s voice in the video was the first thing that hit her, sending chills down her spine. It was eerily familiar.
How could this be happening?
How could this woman sound exactly like her?
She suddenly remembered Sarah’s last words before her tragic suicide!
Sarah had claimed she’d heard Violette’s voice after being horrifically mutilated. Maybe it wasn’t a hallucination. Maybe it was real!
Everyone had thought Sarah had lost her mind, but that wasn’t the case. The real madness lay with the person scheming behind the scenes to target
Violette.
The voice in the video didn’t just sound like hers. The face... it was also a match!

Her mind raced to Nora. Could it be her doing?

As her gaze drifted down and settled on the pronounced bump of the woman’s pregnant belly, Violette felt a wave of dizziness.
How was this possible? Could the woman in the video actually be her?
But she had felt nothing at Caesar’s Palace. Aside from dizziness, her body had shown no signs of discomfort!
The woman in the video had her eyes wide open and was vocal, indicating she was conscious.
How could that be Violette?
She’d been unconscious the whole time, not engaging in any such acts!
How was she to explain why the woman in the video looked like her, sounded like her, and even shared her pregnant belly?
The ring of her phone snapped Violette back to the present.
She answered, and Mike’s voice came through, “Violette, did you watch the video? That woman, does she look a lot like you?”
“That’s not me,” she replied. Her voice was cold and trembling. “Someone is impersonating me!”
“I figured as much!” Mike spat angrily. “The guy in the video is built like a pig. There’s no way you’d go for such a swine!”
“Mike, can you trace who posted the video?”
“I tried. It first popped up on some sleazy foreign website, but the account that uploaded it has been deleted.”
“Has it spread domestically now?” She lowered her lashes in despair, taking a deep, hopeless breath.
Even she had to do a double-take at the woman in the video, mistaking her for herself. If others saw this video, they would be convinced it was her.
She could handle misunderstandings from strangers, but what about Elijah?
