A Perfect Lie Hides Behind My Billionaire Marriage (reese and hudson)

Chapter 499

Anthony replied in a slightly confused tone, "Am I supposed to know what you're talking about?"
Mariel's brow furrowed and she insisted, "Go online right now and check out the trending topics about Reese's alleged affair.
Then you'll understand what I'm talking about!"
Anthony frowned, and while talking to Mariel, he opened the trending search on Facebook and took a look.
When he saw the videotaped photo, he immediately understood what Mariel meant to say.
He said solemnly, "Are you saying that the woman in the photo is not Reese, but that she is the woman that we saw in the
elevator that day?"
Mariel's response was laced with frustration, "Yes! Do you really think that's Reese? Is she capable of such a thing?"
Anthony said solemnly, "So what do you want to do about it?"

Mariel's face tensed, and she replied, "First, we have to identify this woman and do a background check on her. Then we need to
find her and interrogate her about her motives, who might have forced her to do this, and why she set Reese up in this way."
Determination shone in Anthony's eyes. "I'm going to the dental clinic to check her records."
When Mariel heard what Anthony had to say, she breathed a sigh of relief, "Great, Dr. Rivers, I'm close to the hospital now and
I'll be here soon. Just wait for me!"
Anthony frowned, "You came to the hospital?"
Mariel felt a little embarrassed. "I was worried that you might be too busy or reluctant to go through the files, so I thought I'd
come in person. It's a sign of sincerity!"
Anthony couldn't help but snort, "I didn't expect you to know what sincerity was."
Mariel was immediately unhappy, "Why wouldn't I understand what sincerity is? Dr. Rivers, I haven't offended you, have I? Why
do I feel that you have such a strong opinion about me?"
Anthony spoke calmly, "You are the one who has a big problem with me. Ever since I crashed the car the first time, you have
been giving me a hard time. Don't you think you have some fault in this?"

Mariel fell silent. She couldn't deny the truth of Anthony's statement. She also realized that she had to ask for his help.
Hearing her heavy breathing, Anthony inquired, "What's wrong? Why are you breathing so hard right now?
Mariel complained, "Never mind, I'm in the alley next to the hospital. The driver left me behind at the hospital, so I had to come
all the way here on my own!"
Anthony nodded and was about to say, "Take your time; I'm going to hang up for now and I'll call you back."
But before he could finish his sentence, he heard Mariel's voice on the other end of the line suddenly rise in shock and anger,
"Who are you?" she asked.
Anthony's heart raced, his nerves on edge.
Several large men were chasing them down an alley. Mariel had been too absorbed in her phone conversation with Anthony to
notice that she was being followed.
The men were still some distance away from him. When they saw Mariel suddenly turn her head, he looked at them in horror.
Mariel turned her head and tried to run away.
Then she heard a familiar voice, "Mariel, it's too late to think about getting up and walking away now!"
Mariel looked at Walter Simmoms in a state of shock as he came out from behind the people.
Her eyes suddenly widened, "Walter!"
