A Perfect Lie Hides Behind My Billionaire Marriage (reese and hudson)

Chapter 484

Lukas pushed Reese up against the door and kissed her hard, as if he wanted to eat her whole.
Reese was a little confused, her breathing was so disrupted that she couldn't keep up with the rhythm. She had never expected
that Lukas would just kiss her like that without saying a word.
What was wrong with him?
As far as what was wrong with him, Reese understood it clearly after Lukas had kissed her.
She pushed Lukas away in embarrassment. Her breathing was uneven, her chest heaving up and down with every breath.
"Lu...Lukas, I have to go downstairs!"
Lukas, too, realized that he needed to regain control of his emotions. He reluctantly let go of Reese, breathing heavily as he
admitted, "Baby, I really want to..."
Reese's face was flushed and she replied: "We agreed not to get carried away. I really have to go."
It was only the second day of their relationship, but she had the feeling that she and Lukas were on a roller coaster ride of
passion.

Recognizing the need to dial back his intensity, Lukas let go of Reese, turned his head, and took a deep breath. Then he said,
"Let's go."
As she grabbed the doorknob and started to open the door, Reese couldn't help but look back at Lukas with a hint of concern.
She asked, "Are you sure you're okay?"
Lukas' eyes locked on hers with a look so intense and fiery that it left Reese breathless for a moment. He replied, "If you don't
leave now, it's going to be a problem."
Reese's eyes widened in surprise. She quickly left the office, closing the door behind her with a forcefulness that suggested she
was worried about Lukas' self- control.
Once she was gone, Lukas couldn't help but do a little chuckle to himself. He found Reese's innocence and naiveté quite
endearing.
Lukas couldn't help but notice his lack of self-control since his meeting with Reese, a stark contrast to his normally composed
self. Feeling slightly uneasy, he furrowed his brow.

As Reese closed the door behind her, she realized that she may have used too much force. But the intensity of Lukas' gaze had
left her too flustered to turn back.

Reese descended the stairs and returned to the design department to find Raven had returned.
Noticing Reese's absence, Raven approached her with a small box in her hand. Her expression was inquisitive. She asked,
"Reese, where were you a moment ago?"
Reese was feeling a little bad, her voice a little dry as she replied, "Uh... I went to the restroom. What's up?"
Raven placed the small box on Reese's table, her thoughtfulness evident. "I brought you this little cake from outside. You
skipped lunch, so go ahead and take a bite if you're hungry."
Reese was touched by Raven's thoughtfulness and raised her eyes to express her gratitude, saying, "You don't really have to do
this, but thank you, Raven."
Raven, however, looked a bit surprised when she saw Reese's face up close. She inquired, "Reese, your lips look a little red and
swollen. What happened?"
Reese's face turned crimson, even the base of her neck blushed. She stammered, "Um... I think it might be because I got bitten
by a mosquito in the bathroom and I scratched it."
Raven nodded understandingly, "I see. Don't worry, I have mosquito repellent essential oil here. I'll get it for you later."
Reese managed a dry smile and nodded. Essential oils might keep mosquitoes at bay, but they seemed powerless against the
biggest 'mosquito' of them all: Lukas.
After finishing work that evening, Reese received a call from Ava.
"Reese, I heard you and Lukas are an item, is that true?" Ava seemed aware of their budding relationship.
Reese's eyes sparkled as she replied, "Yes, he confessed to me last night. How did you find out?"
