A Perfect Lie Hides Behind My Billionaire Marriage (reese and hudson)

Chapter 481

Lukas: Have you decided what you want to eat?
Reese: I'm not fussy when it comes to eating, so you can order whatever you want!
Lukas: Well, I'm not picky when it comes to eating either. As long as I'm with you... I can enjoy everything. I'll just order whatever
I want!
Reese looked at her cell phone with a shy look on her face. She hadn't expected
that hearing Lukas say that would make her feel so nervous.
Thankfully, Lukas didn't send any more messages after that.
When it was time for lunch, everyone in the design department headed
downstairs to grab a bite to eat.
Before Raven left, she called Reese. "Reese, let's go to lunch!"
Reese seemed a little uncomfortable. "No, please go ahead. I'm not in the mood for lunch today!"

There was a flicker of concern in Raven's eyes as she watched Reese. "Why aren't you in the mood for food today? Are you
feeling sick?"
Reese felt a little uncomfortable. "No, it's just warm and I'm not really hungry."
Raven nodded understandingly, "I understand. If you remember something you would like to eat, just text me! I'll bring it to you!"
Reese's smile seemed a bit forced, "No, I'm really not hungry!"
Raven, sensing Reese's reluctance, decided not to push any further. She probably left because she really didn't feel like eating.
After Raven left, Reese breathed a sigh of relief. She noticed that most of her co- workers in the design department had already
left the building, so she followed suit.
Reese took the elevator directly to the top floor.

The top floor was currently unoccupied. Upon exiting the elevator, Reese spotted Martins not far away, grinning. "Ms. Roberts!
Mr. Strakovski is expecting you in his office!"
Seeing Martins, Reese felt extremely self-conscious. Was Lukas really asking Martins to watch over her?
She replied with a smile, "I understand. You go ahead and eat!"
Martins smiled but stayed where he stood.

At a loss for words, Reese made her way to Lukas' office.
When Reese pushed open the door to Lukas' office, she found that the room was empty. She assumed that Lukas might be in
the lounge. Just as she was about to call out to him, she suddenly felt a warm embrace from behind her.
Reese's reflexes kicked in and she quickly turned around to see who it was that was behind her.
Lukas couldn't stop laughing. "Did I scare you?"
"Why were you hiding by the door, scaring people like that?" Reese asked, feigning annoyance.
Lukas grinned and said, "I didn't mean to scare you; I just wanted to give you a hug as soon as you walked in the door. I missed
you like crazy, baby!"
Reese's cheeks turned crimson. "You don't have to be so affectionate! I'm not used to it!"
Lukas was unabashedly passionate and saw nothing wrong with his behavior. He rested his chin on Reese's shoulder and said,
"I'm not being overly sentimental, I'm just speaking from the heart. I don't want to be apart from you for one second!"
Reese blushed at a loss for words.
She had never expected someone who had been so reserved before to be so passionate when in love, which made it difficult for
her to reconcile the two sides of him.
She pursed her lips and suggested, "Let's sit down and eat, shall we?"
She noticed that Martins had brought lunch.
Lukas nodded, "Sure, let's eat."

When he let go of Reese, she started to sit down. But Lukas grabbed her hand firmly.
