Chapter 21: Pissed Off
Jasmine's POV
“ You shouldn't shout at him like that,” We were already in his house while David was in our room sleeping.
“ How do you want me to react? I almost lost him. I told him not to go far away. He's totally not listening to me. I know I shouldn't have shouted at him
but I couldn't control my emotions, what if something bad happened to him? What if he encounters a bad guy and takes him away from me?” I can't
stop thinking and also get mad at him because of what happened.
“ He's just a kid, “ he said, which made me look at him. He always used that as an excuse. But what David did a while ago is not right.
“ I know, he's just a kid. But what he did was not right. I love him, I just couldn't control myself. I know I hurt him but what if he kept on doing that? “ I
asked him and he didn't answer me.
“ I think you need to rest too. I know you're tired, " he said and led me through our room. He smiled at me before closing the door.
I looked at David. He's sleeping peacefully. I went beside him and touched his face.
“ I'm sorry for what happened earlier baby,” I sigh and fix his hair.
“ I was just so scared to lose you. That's why I did that. I'm sorry. “ I don't know but I feel like crying.
I hugged him while caressing his shoulder.
“ You're always asking about your father,” I started to remember what happened. How shocked he was when he saw me.
“ I saw your father in the morning baby, and he didn't change, he's still the Travis before” a cold, ruthless Travis.

“ I don't know but when I saw him, all the awful things he did to me came back.” How he coldly treated me for years, how he bare to cheat on me. And
how he let her mother and the people that night hurt me.
He let them judge me and hurt me emotionally and physically.
“ That night, I almost lost you. That's why I’m so scared when I can't find you. I thought someone took you away from me and I didn't know what to do
when that happened. “ I wiped my tears while caressing his hair.

“ I'm sorry if I shouted at you. I'm not mad now, I'm just freaking out when I can't find you. I love you, baby; I'm sorry” I kissed his forehead before
leaving him on the bed. I wiped my tears and went to the shower room.
I have to refresh my mind. I’ve been thinking too much.
When I'm done, I go out when I receive a call from Stacy asking me to meet her in a restaurant. I don't have any idea why she suddenly called for a
meeting, but even though I'm curious, I still go to that place and leave a message for Diego.
When I arrived at the restaurant I saw her sitting at the corner. I walk towards her and sit on the available chair.
“ What is this all about?” I asked her but I heard her chuckle sarcastically. I'm not in the mood to guess what's on her mind.
“ I'm cancelling the business”, she plainly said, which shocked me. My forehead knotted.
“ What? We travel the way from here just because of that business and now you're telling me that you're going to cancel it?” I smirk. But at the same
time pissed off because of what she said.
“ Cut that crop, Jasmine; I already knew everything! “ She began to raise her voice and looked at me furiously.
I don't understand her, what does she mean?
“ Look, I don't have time to play with your stupid game so just straight to the point” I’m losing my temper now.
“ You should be the one to stop pretending Bitch! I know that you came back because you have a plan! You are Travis' ex-wife. “ She gritted her teeth

while saying those words.
I wasn't surprised at all. I'm expecting this day to happen.
“And? What about that?” I sarcastically asked her that made her even more pissed off.
I don't care, I'm enjoying seeing her threatened. And how dare she call me bitch! She's now slowly showing her true colour.
“ I have no plan of working for someone like you. Travis' mother is right. And I'm happy that both of you are divorced, “ she said, which made me
angry.
She doesn't need to bring up the past and insult me.
“ You know what? I don't care about Travis's mom's words about me. And I don't care about Your Fiance. And if you're here just to insult me then
you're just wasting your time. If I'm a bitch what do you call yourself?” I crossed my arm, which irritated her.

She stood up and slapped me but I caught her hand.
“ Not anymore!” I pushed her hand and got the drinks and poured it on her.
“ Damn you!” She shouted, which caught everyone's attention.
“ I have no plan of entering on your problems Stacy. Since you are already canceling the deal then I have nothing to do with you. You know what?! I
don't care about you or Travis! Just leave your life and don't interfere with mine!” I firmly said and walked out of the restaurant.
Well, I'm relieved about the news that I am no longer going to work with their stupid wedding. She's the one who cancelled it. It's not my problem
anymore.
I even heard him shout before I could totally leave the place.
I don't care even if she shouts for how many hours. I am no longer the Jasmine that they could hurt everytime they want. I had enough of their cruelty.
I will not let them hurt me again.
When I arrived at the house I saw my son in the living room watching.
I walked closer to him and hugged him.
“ I'm sorry about what happened to the mall, baby; I shouldn't have shouted at you. I'm just scared that I might lose you. Please promise that it won't
happen again.” I said, and he hugged me, too, and smiled before nodding.
