Uncontrollable Fondness

Chapter 15

William’s heart fall into pieces, his mouth was sore with pain. His hands were shaking, and the knuckles were pale as never before, “Do you know this
medicine is hard to drink? Is there any other way? Have you found someone for bone marrow transplantation?”
Listening to the doctor, he frowned and finally said in a low voice, "Really no other way? Okay, I’ll talk to her.”
He hung up the phone. His eyebrows were unable to loosen up, he pursed his lips and said with irresistible rage, "How you drive! Faster!”
East Flanders Mountain...Brown’s family home was built along this mountain. Surrounded by
beautiful mountains and blue waters, the house occupied extremely large area. The huge black lacquered iron door revealed the story of the previous
dynasties, although it has remained intact for hundreds of years. Inside the house was spacious and full of light. Many modern elements were added
into its interior, giving a glimpse of The European style. The integration of family history and modern European design conceptions showed the strong
power of Brown’s family.
Bur now the living room was a mess. The delicate blue-and-white porcelain bowl shattered on the floor. Broken bowl shards were everywhere, mixed
with some brown liquid with strong medicine smell. The liquid was quickly spreading, staining the originally bright granite floor and soaking into the

Russian printed carpet in front of the sofa.
The servants bowed their heads and said nothing, one of them was trembling with fear.
“What’s going on here?” William asked coldly. He didn't want to come back and see that mess again. A pale but very beautiful woman ran over and
plunged into his arms, "Will, you are finally back."
His cold face softened for a while. He touched woman's thin shoulders, his voice was soft and low, afraid to scare her, “Sophia, what happened?”
Sophia looked up from his arms, winked innocently with her sparkling eyes, glanced at the poor servants, and whispered, "William, can I stop taking
medicine? It's so bitter.”
These words caused William a heartache, he couldn't help it. Thinking of Doctor Davies’ words, he said to her softly, “Sophia, be a good girl. We can
control the disease if you drink your medicine.”
“I've been drinking it for so many years. Won’t drink it. William, I won't drink it anymore.”
Sophia’s small face was in tears, it was painful to see her like this. Sitting in William’s arms, she cried and begged, and his heart was suffering. Taking
a deep breath, he touched her nose and said, “Baby, we’re doing our best to find the bone marrow. Until we find it, you can’t stop taking your
medicine.”

“Haven’t you found it yet?” Sophia frowned.
William couldn't bear to say something that disappointed her. He only took her small face and looked deeply into her eyes. He promised, “Sophia,
believe me, I will find it, I will save you!”
He will definitely save you!
His heart shuddered suddenly, and he remembered what Sophia once said to him. They were young then, but he had all reasons to believe that she
would really save him.
Although, he later saved her.
William gave a signal to the servant to bring another bowl, while holding Sophia on the sofa, stroking her hair. Sophia’s hair was always straight until
she was ten years old. It was naturally black, straight and smooth. Unexpectedly, she stayed in the United States for several years. After returning,
she has become a girl with curly hair.
This is a natural hair curl, so beautifully done that it flattered her little face. The face that will be full of life if only she wasn’t sick...
