Chapter 13
Mia said nothing and twisted her fingers. In the face of Sam Charles, she couldn't find a word to say. If she didn’t get used to this home, she didn't
want to see him again.
Sam didn't care much, and looked at her up and down for a while, "Where have you gone? You called me earlier and said you’re back. Why did you
arrive so late?"
She didn’t to answer and went straight to the house.
“Mia Charles, come back now!” Sam roared running over. His body crooked, his mouth crooked even more obviously, "Your dad raised you! And you
ignore me now?”
Mia stopped, staring at her foster father. Her heart was pounding, she was biting lips without saying a word. Sam said no more and stretched out his
hairy hand to Mia, "Bring it."
"Bring...what?" Frowning lightly, she asked.
rest of money to you? Well, they said two million for a baby, five for a son..."
His words were too rude, and Mia wanted to cover her ears. He sold his own daughter, and now, without even saying “Hi”, he went straight to
business, asking about money. She couldn’t help crying, but her heart was strong enough to say one word, “No!” Saying that, she walked toward the
corridor.
Sam came close and dragged Mia to the same place she was standing before. Starring at her with two wide-open bronze eyes he shouted, “You
forgot your fucking dad raised you! And what’s now? Now its dad’s time to spend your money, this is how it should be. You don’t wanna give it or
what?”
Mia only cried and couldn't say a word. What he said, what he did over these years, how he treated her coldly, she accepted everything. Only this
time her heart was freezingly cold.
Her grievances had nowhere to vent, she shouted helplessly, “Dad, I can work and earn money for you. Isn't it too much for me now? Do you know
how much I’m suffering?”
“Suffering?” Sam completely ignored Mia’s complaints, he was all into the money, “Be honest. Tell dad where you’ve hidden the money. Quickly give it
to dad!”

“I don’t have it,” Mia shook her clothes a few times. She had no pockets and could not hide a check. She spread her hands and said coldly, “I’ve
donated it.”
“You're fucking...” Sam’s mouth crooked to his ears. He stared at Mia fiercely as he was about to hit her. Mia sternly closed her eyes and sneered,
"Come on. After this we’re done.”
The hand didn't fall, Sam smacked his lips and hummed, “We’re done? Nice! Dad raised you for so many years, and when you’re gonna pay me
back?”
He turned around and walked out, dialing the phone on the way.
Mia sat down and began stroking her chest. She wasn’t trying to hide from this disaster, she realized what family she’d grown up in.
When she opened the door, a burst of sour smell spread, she could not help but cover her mouth. She saw that the feast on the table that was put on
more than ten days ago was still there. The dishes were completely rotten and poisonous, and larvae were floating on them.
