Chapter 13
Chapter 13 Evaluating Daddy
He figured that when Tiffany saw Barry, she'd definitely try to convince him to leave with her.
"I wanna stay with Daddy," Barry said, all serious.
"Alright." Leon, feeling relieved, scooped Barry up and took him back to the room, thinking he'd never let Tiffany get close to
Barry again!
Seeing that his daddy wasn't suspicious, Barry secretly used his watch to text Sam: [It's done. Daddy's not worried anymore.
Success!]
Upon receiving the message, Sam felt relieved, knowing they were in the clear as long as Leon wasn't suspicious.
Sam followed Tiffany back to the hotel without any more drama. As soon as they got in, he saw Flora playing chess by herself
and ran over. "Flora, let's have a match!"
Seeing Sam back to his usual self, Tiffany finally relaxed.
Flora had been figuring out how to beat Sam. Seeing him eager to play, she set up the pieces, and they started their game.
Surprisingly, after a few rounds, Sam lost every time.
Flora scratched her head, puzzled. Why did it seem like Sam was off his game today? "Sam, you used to beat me. What's up
today?" Flora asked.
Hearing Flora's words, Sam's hand, holding a chess piece, shook. It seemed Barry was smart enough to win against Flora, but
he...
"Maybe... maybe I was just scared today. Flora, let's play again in a few days."
"As long as you're okay. But Mommy's amazing, she got you back from that bad guy." Flora clapped her hands, super happy.
Flora didn't know who the bad guy was. Sam didn't plan to tell her, so he just chuckled, touched his nose, and felt a bit guilty.
Not long after, Sam found an excuse to go back to his room and quickly called Barry. Luckily, no one was around Barry either,
since Leon had gone to work. Barry picked up right away.
"Barry, how are you now? Feeling better?" Sam asked, concerned.
Sam still wanted Barry to meet Tiffany. That way, the family could be together again.
Barry had thought about going back to Tiffany, but he was scared that if Tiffany knew his true identity, her attitude might change.
"I'm fine, Sam," Barry answered softly.
"Do you still want to see Mommy? She hasn't figured out we've switched. If you're worried about Daddy, we can switch a few
more times. I also want to check out Daddy more." Sam thought about Leon's attitude towards Tiffany and how he said she
abandoned Barry. There had to be more to the story, and he wanted to find out.
If there was a misunderstanding between their parents, maybe he and Barry could help them patch things up and get back
together!
"Daddy hasn't suspected me either, don't worry!" Barry said. "But I have a question. You said Mom didn't leave me, so why does
Dad think she did? Is he lying to me?" Barry hadn't figured this out and didn't dare to ask Leon.
"I reckon there's some mix-up between Dad and Mom that needs sorting. Mommy didn't abandon you, Barry. I promise you. If we
can clear up the misunderstanding, maybe they can reconcile. Barry, let me ask you, do you want Daddy and Mommy to get
back together?" Sam thought about it. This big task needed their joint effort, so it was better to get Barry's opinion.
Of course, Barry wanted them to reconcile. He wanted a complete family! So he quickly replied, "I want that. But they always
fight when they meet. What should we do?"
"I've got a plan, Barry. I'll stay with Daddy to figure out his true feelings towards Mommy. And you, since you haven't spent much
time with Mommy, can stay with her and feel her love." Sam generously offered to switch places with Barry, wanting Barry to
experience their mommy's love and then return to Tiffany without hesitation.
Barry was torn but agreed to Sam's proposal. He really wanted to know his place in Tiffany's heart. So Barry decided to ask her
himself.
"How do we switch? This time, when Mommy came to the Cooper Mansion, Dad was super careful and wouldn't let me go out,
worried I might run into her."
"Barry, just behave well in front of Daddy for the next few days. We'll meet at Star Cinema in three days. I'll also talk to Mommy
about going there." Sam was clever and always had a bunch of ideas. As long as Sam acted cute in front of Tiffany, with Flora's
help, going out wouldn't be a problem.
"Okay, I'll try." Barry agreed to Sam's plan to switch. They quickly hung up the phone.
At that moment, Leon entered the room without knocking, startling Barry.
"Barry, who were you talking to just now?" Leon asked with a stern face, thinking Barry was in contact with Tiffany, looking
displeased.
"Daddy, I... I wasn't." Barry hid his hand behind his back, feeling guilty.
"Was it Tiffany?" Leon questioned.
Barry realized his dad had misunderstood. "No, Daddy, I wasn't contacting Mommy. It was a friend I know, an online friend,"
Barry explained.

Leon didn't know Barry had friends. Usually, Barry was very solitary at kindergarten, always preferring to be alone. But recently,
Barry seemed more cheerful and talkative. It seemed to be related to this online friend.
Since it wasn't Tiffany, Leon didn't ask further. As long as it wasn't Tiffany, anyone else was fine.
"Alright, get some rest." Leon's tone softened.
Barry gradually relaxed.
On the other side, Sam, who had just hung up, was also caught by Tiffany.
"Sam, who were you talking to just now?" Tiffany asked as she entered, carrying a plate of fruit.
"Mommy, I was imitating someone from a computer video." Sam quickly reacted, randomly opened a video, and cheekily winked
at Tiffany.
Tiffany walked over and gently tapped Sam's head. "But you need to protect your eyes, play less."
"I know, Mommy!" Sam hugged Tiffany and acted cute. Flora also ran in, jumped on
Sam, and the three of them started playing in the room.
A few days later, Sam got up early and changed into casual clothes.
He sneaked into Tiffany's room and saw her tidying up. He eagerly helped fold clothes
and make the bed, being very attentive.
"Tell me, what new idea do you have?" Tiffany knew her son well. His sudden attentiveness meant he had a new plan!
Sam blinked and hugged Tiffany's arm, starting to act cute. "Mommy, we haven't gone
out to play since we came back. I found a nearby cinema. I wanna watch a movie. Can you take me and Flora?"
