Chapter 2343
Chapter 2343
Tiger clenched his fists, his tone full of agitation.
Elijah wasn't a pushover. Seeing their provocative actions, he immediately pulled out a gun, his finger on the trigger. "You want to
fight, don't you? Stop wasting time! We'll fight now! The Hunt family is never afraid!"
"Sure! Come at us, I'm not afraid!"
Cadmus and Tiger were agitated, too. They were about to take out their guns to fight Elijah.
Stefan rubbed his temples in annoyance, then strode to the side. Justin found them noisy too, so he followed Stefan and stuck
close to him.
"My assistant is witty, nut there seems to be something wrong...with your men."
Stefan seriously pointed at his head. It was his only impression of Cadmus and Tiger. They couldn't control themselves well.
"You can't blame them. My grandpa picked them when they were only six. They were brought to the base to train. They don't
think like normal people. Their only goals are absolute loyalty and my family's glory."
Justin was starting to feel that both Cadmus and Tiger were out of control, like two timed bombs. No one knew when they would
make mistakes or cause trouble.
Still, Justin could understand them. After all, Austin trained and raised them. They had lost the self-awareness a normal person
would have. In a way, Justin found them pitiful.
"Since I can't blame them, you have to bear the responsibility," Stefan said.
He walked to the balcony at the end of the corridor. He casually placed his hands on the railing and looked downstairs gloomily.
"Maybe my family has to fight yours sooner or later. Those two merely sped up the process." He watched the crowd downstairs
as he recalled the past. Some long-forgotten and shameful memories dawned on him.
"Have you ever wondered why your grandpa and I fell out with each other and chose to stay in different cities though they were
best comrades? They never got in touch."
Stefan turned and gave Justin a complicated look as he asked this.
"Was it because of their different mindsets?"
Justin frowned. "From what I've gathered, Renee's grandpa and yours wanted to escape the army, but my grandpa insisted on
fighting. Hence, they chose different paths and were no longer friends."
He found it a pity that their friendship fell through. If everything went smoothly, he, Stefan, Renee, and Quinton would be close
friends.
Unfortunately, their families were enemies who might fight.
Justin loved peace. He did not want to see any of them fight. He even hoped that they could
make peace and reenact the friendship his grandfather once had. Of course, he knew this was merely wishful thinking.
As expected, Stefan mocked Justin, saying, "Looks like your family raised you to be an ignorant and naive man."
"I don't think I'm naive!" Justin pocketed his hands and looked ahead. "Maybe she'll be the key to making things better."
