Otis asked, "Think about it. Would you want to date a man whom you cannot communicate with?"
Yelena realized Otis was right. She asked, "Is my intelligence the problem now? Even if I got smarter, I still wouldn't be able to
meet Zane!"
Noticing Yelena's genuine interest, Otis felt more assured. He replied, "Just do as I say. You'll find the right chance soon."
That piqued Yelena's interest. She asked, "What should I do?"
"There's going to be a dinner party," Otis said, enunciating every word in case Yelena couldn't understand him.
He continued, "Zane will be at that dinner party. When the time comes, just pretend to be a damsel in distress. No matter how
powerful a man is, they will all have a savior complex. That way, Zane will definitely step in to help you.

"When that happens, you can move into his house in the name of trying to repay his kindness. That way, you'll be able to get
closer to him!"
Yelena thought Otis made a lot of sense. She said, "Thanks, Dad! I'll never forget how you helped me! Once I date Zane, I'll
convince him to expand your business!"
Satisfied with Yelena's promise, Otis smiled and said, "Sure. Just remember that if I can help you appear before Zane, I also
have the means to remove you from Zane's environment. Don't try to get cheeky and turn against me. Do you hear me?"
In response, Yelena said obediently, "Got it! I'll listen to you, Dad."
Feeling satisfied, Otis said, "I'll update you soon."

After Zane and dropped Willow off at school, we arrived at work together. Qtis called to say that he was outside the company
building. I knew he meant for me to meet him; after telling Zane about it, I left the office.

Before I got out of the elevator, I read Yelena's text.

It read, "You must be surprised! Dad loves me more! Even though I betrayed Dad, he still chose to be my side and try to snatch
your boyfriend away for my sake! So what if you and your mother were loyal to him? Ultimately, he still looks down on the both of
you!"
Even through text, Yelena sounded prideful. But what if Otis looked down on us? After all, with all that had achieved so far, I no
longer needed to depend on a man

Even to this day, Yelena didn't know what my kryptonite was. After reading the text messages, I didn't say a word and pocketed
my phone. Then, I walked to the hotel and sat down across from Otis.
When Otis saw me, he apologized, "I realized I was wrong."
"And?" I asked as I kept my hands in my pockets and gazed calmly at Otis.
Otis silently thought, "As an elder, I've already admitted my mistakes. Isn't that enough? What more does she want?"
However, he didn't let it show. After all, Annalise and Zane were far too powerful for Otis to challenge.
Otis contained his frustration and smiled, saying, "So, I want to make it up to you."
I was surprised at how shameless Otis could be. I thought he had become smarter.
