+ me, her reassuring presence a welcome comfort.
The old woman introduced herself as Eira, a representative of the Umbral Society. And one of the High witches.
"When your Alpha wrote to us and told us about you, we couldn't believe it. Your kind was believed to be extinct after the
massacre a century ago." Eira said.
I stiffened at her words, the memory of my research flashing in my mind.
"I don't understand," I said, my voice low. "If my kind is extinct, the... How am I here?"
Eira's expression grew somber. "That's what we hope to uncover. There were stories-rumors-that not all were lost in the
massacre. Some said a small group escaped, though their whereabouts have remained unknown and there was no evidence
that they were still
alive."
"Do you think my parents were part of that group?" I asked, my voice trembling.
"It's possible," Eira said carefully. "But we won't know for certain until we learn more about your lineage.i am so glad to see you
here, Stormi," Eira said, her voice warm and filled with reverence. "You have no idea what this means for all of us."

Her words stirred something in me-curiosity, fear, and a flicker of hope. I straightened slightly, unable to keep the skepticism from
my voice.
"And what exactly does it mean?" I asked, my tone cautious.
Eira's lips curled into a faint smile, the kind that hinted at secrets waiting to be unveiled. "It means you can find the Keystone."
I blinked, confusion knotting my brow. "The Keystone? What's that?"
Eira nodded, as if expecting my ignorance. She gestured for me to sit her expression turning serious.
"Let me tell you a story," she began, her tone shifting to something akin to storytelling, as if she were weaving a tapestry with her
words.
