Chapter20
Ricky raised an eyebrow and gave Valerie a meaningful look.“Wait for me here. I’ll be back in a moment.”
But Valerie waited for more than an hour.
And after returning, Ricky had changed his attitude obviously.
“Regarding the arranged marriage, I have no objections. Whenever it is convenient for you, we can go and get a marriage
certificate.”
Valerie was very surprised by Ricky’s 180–degree change. But she still said, “The faster, the better.”
“Okay. After I sign the cooperation agreement on Friday, let’s go get the certificate. Send off the guest.”
She felt that Ricky became strange after coming back from the meeting, but it was just a feeling. So, she had to leave the office
under the guidance of the secretary.
The office door closed, and the man who was originally sitting dignifiedly in the wheelchair had a mysterious smile on his face.
He was discussing cooperation with the team of Theodore, the assistant of Terrence.
It turned out...
Terrence did not know that Valerie had returned to Washington D.C.
Terrence also didn’t know that Valerie was going to marry him.
Interesting.
It was really interesting.
And in the meantime...
Theodore, who was on the first floor, saw Valerie coming out of the Murray Group. He rubbed his eyes several times desperately
before finally daring to confirm that it was indeed Valerie!
Valerie actually returned to Washington D.C.!
She had been staying in Houston for the past seven years!
She had never set foot outside of Houston!
Theodore quickly sent a message to Terrence.
“Mr. Crawford! I saw Ms. Schwartz in Washington D.C.!”
Terrence frowned.
He wondered why Valerie was in Washington D.C. As far as he knew, she had a troubled relationship with her family.
Picking up his phone, Terrence dialed Foliage Villa’s number.
“Is Valerie at home?”
The one who answered the phone was Kyra Larson, who had been working at the Crawford’s house for over 20 years. She
replied unthinkingly, “Yes.”
Terrence squinted his eyes.
