Chapter 951
Chapter 951
Tania's situation had everyone on edge. Peter was panicking, and so was Charles, who was worried sick about Tania and
Brandon's health. To top it off, Nancy's condition was worsening by the day. She was supposed to get a bone marrow transplant
from Tania, but since
Tania was unwell, they had to rethink their plans. It was a real mess for Charles to deal with.
Late at night, while everybody was sleeping, Charles was still up, giving orders to Ronald and the Kerlsberg crew. Noelle's heart
ached with worry as she watched Charles burn the candle at both ends.
Charles had barely touched his dinner that night, so Noelle made some noodles and took them upstairs. She lingered outside his
study, listening to him rattle off instructions on the phone. She burst through the door with her brow furrowed with concern,
stopping him mid- sentence. "What's wrong?" He wrapped up the call with Ronald and hung up, his lips pressed together. "You
heard all that?"
Noelle nodded, her face etched with worry. "What's the deal with Tania and Brandon?"
investigation. What's that about?"
Charles let out a weary sigh, took the bowl from Noelle, and stared at the noodles. A look of surprise crossed his face. "You
made this for me?"
Noelle nodded with concern. "Yeah. You barely touched your dinner, and I'm worried you might be hungry, especially with your
stomach acting up."
Charles smiled and affectionately ruffled Noelle's hair. "You're always looking out for me, Noelle."
"Come on, eat up before the noodles get soggy and lose their flavor!" Noelle urged, pulling Charles to the table.
Not wanting to add to Noelle's
worries, Charles grabbed a bowl and began to eat. Noelle watched him
from the side. After Charles finished
his meal in record time, she passed
him a glass of water. "So, what's up with Tania?"
Realizing he could not keep it from Noelle, Charles shared the gist of the situation. "That's the story."
"You're saying someone infected
idea about this. Brandon's just a little kid!"
Noelle's heart ached thinking about Brandon, who was barely over three years old, facing such a cruel fate. "Who would do
something so heartless to a pregnant woman and a child?"
"I don't know," Charles admitted, his own uncertainties clear. "I'm not sure if they're after the Lennon family or the Hoffman family,
so we've got to stay sharp. Head straight home after work, alright?"
"Got it!" Noelle said with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. I'll look after myself. But what about Tania and Brandon? And we can't
delay Aunt Nancy's treatment any longer."
Charles's face turned serious at her
words. "Mr. Fischer has brought in Dr. Powell, a top expert, to help. He can keep Aunt Nancy's illness in check for now. If we're
sure Tania's virus won't cause any harm, I'd be willing to give it a shot, but I can't just gamble with their lives." He sighed,
admitting his fear. Neither he nor Peter were ready to take such a gamble. "We need to either get rid of the virus in Tania or find
another
bone marrow match for Aunt
Nancy."
"Finding another match could take forever," Noelle fretted, her face clouded with concern. "It might be best if Tania could still
donate."
Charles nodded in agreement. "Don't worry too much. Peter and I are on it. By the way, Tania and Aunt Nancy are still in the dark
about all this."
