Chapter 936
Chapter 936
When Tania was with Peter before, Zara had treated her as though she were her own daughter. Tania had grown up without a
mother's love. Even after returning to the Hoffmans, her relationship with Nancy never truly felt like that of a mother and
daughter. By then, she was already an adult and married to Peter, which made it even harder for her to feel close to Nancy.
However, it had been different with Zara. Zara had stayed at Five Elements Residence to care for Peter through all the years he
was cast out by the Lennons. She gave up everything to be by his side, treating him as her own son.
As Peter's wife, Tania received the same warmth from Zara, who spared no effort in fulfilling any request Tania made.
"Oh, Ms. Tania, I've missed you too!" Zara said, her voice thick with emotion. Tania had been gone for three years, and in that
time, Peter had been noticeably dispirited.
Most people could not see it, assuming Peter was strong and unbreakable. However, as the person who had been with him the
longest, Zara could easily see his sadness.
now is to see you, and to see Mr. Peter happy. That would make me very content."
Tania hesitated, glancing instinctively toward Peter. He was focused on driving, seemingly unaware of her conversation with
Zara.
She opened her mouth but could not find the words to continue speaking to Zara. Sighing softly, Zara continued, "Ms. Tania, did
something come between you and Mr. Peter? But I can tell you that he loves you. He hasn't gone a day without thinking of you
these past three years.
"Your room hasn't changed at all. He hasn't let anyone touch it. Even the guest room you used to stay in remains as it was. Ms.
Tania, now that you're back, you and Mr. Peter-"
"Zara!" Tania interrupted quickly, her voice unexpectedly hoarse. Peter immediately pulled over, glancing at her with concern. "Is
your throat hurting?"
She froze. "No, it's not."
Peter frowned, looking her over. "Your voice sounded off just now. If you're not feeling well, you need to tell me."
Realizing he was genuinely worried, she replied hastily, "I'm fine."
Peter seemed certain she was telling the truth. Taking the phone from her hand, he said, "Zara, Tania is tired. I'll take her home
first, and we'l visit you another time, alright?"
"No need for that. We'll stop by today!" Tania blurted out, though she regretted it instantly.
Peter's gaze lit up with surprised delight, his expression reflecting it clearly. Zara, who overheard, was quick to respond, "Oh,
wonderful! Mr. Peter, bring Ms. Tania over right now it's already getting late, get dinner ready so that it'll be ready as soon as you
arrive."
With that, Zara hung up. Peter turned to Tania, his expression complicated. He seemed to be processing her sudden decision.
Tania, who was feeling
self-conscious, brushed her hair
back, feigning indifference. "Don't get the wrong idea. I just don't want
to disappoint Zara. She was very
kind to me back then." Yes, that was
it.

Peter looked at her intently, a smile spreading across his face, even reaching his eyes. He nodded slightly. "I understand. You
missed Zara." Tania's nerves suddenly spiked, her whole body feeling uncomfortable under Peter's gaze. "Aren't you going to
drive? Zara said she's waiting for us."
