Chapter 35
Chapter 35 Blind To Her
Amanda was in an excellent mood.
Corynn must be out of her wits by now. She had no way to salvage the company at this point. If she could find enough sense to
call and promise to leave Orelens for good, Amanda just might consider sparing the Harper
Group and Corynn’s family.
And so, she waited. Amanda waited for days, but she never heard from Corynn.
Even now, the bitch never learned her place! Amanda left her phone with the maid and instructed the maid to inform her if
anything important came up. She then retreated to her study to practice her painting.
Another maid accompanied her inside to attend to her needs. Amanda had just picked up her brush and was about to touch it to
the canvas when a hurried voice came through the door.
“Miss, there is some news!”
A drop of paint stained the paper and bloomed into the once pristine sheet.
Amanda frowned at her wasted canvas. She was about to scold the second maid, but then the girl held up her phone to show
her the most recent headline- “Harper Group Invites the Public to Try Products for Free!”
It was a bold move, to be sure, but it quickly turned the tide in the company’s favor.
Not only that, but the Harper Group had somehow formed an alliance with the media. With their combined efforts, the alleged
victims were found and forced to do the re–examination.
They refused, of course, but then they were hit with accusations that if they failed to comply, then they had been spreading
while being on camera.
These videos went viral, and it was more than enough to clear the Harper Group’s name in the eyes of the
public.
The netizens soon turned their ire toward the fake victims, especially those who had actively persecuted the Harper Group when
the controversy first exploded.
At the same time, many Internet users gave their apologies and support to the Harper Group, and a wave of volunteers flooded
for the product testing event.
Crack!
Amanda snapped her brush in half. She slammed the broken pieces onto her desk with enough force to send paint splattering on
the maid beside her.
“You really are something else, Corynn!”
Amanda had expected this ploy to ruin Corynn once and for all, but the latter had managed to turn the tables

yet again.
It was more than just a slap to the face, Amanda felt insulted to her very core.
In a rare fit of rage, she shredded the papers in front of her and swept everything off her desk. She went on to
scream and throw every object she could get her hands on before finally calming down.
Amanda’s chest was heaving, her gaze cold as she surveyed the mess she had just made.
Meanwhile, over at Corynn’s end, she had been closely following the online trends after the company issued the second
appreciation. She also attached images of the new products they were releasing,
Likely out of guilt, netizens wasted no time sharing and retweeting her post, thereby providing free marketing for the Harper
Group. Corynn was even more delighted by this, so much so that she almost wished Amanda would scheme against her again.
She knew that her company could weather any storm her adversaries would send her way, because she had every confidence in
Harper Group’s products and business ethics.
Even as she thought of this, more and more volunteers were coming forward to test their products. And it
hadn’t even been a day yet!
Corynn smirked to herself, imagining how Amanda must be seething with rage. That woman had tried every dirty trick in the
book, but she just ended up boosting Harper Group’s business. Corynn almost felt sorry for Amanda, too, but she was mostly
amused by the desperate girl’s antics.
“Miss Harper has resolved the issue,” Kaden reported to Elliot.
“Hmm.”
Elliot had been ready to step in at any second. Harper Group had been quiet for so long, that he was certain Corryn would need
his help. It turned out she could handle it all on her own.
He was genuinely surprised at how much she had improved in such a short time.
The present Corynn was so different from the timid and obedient woman he used to know, the one who would wait for him to
come home and cater to his
need. every
Not only did Corynn have her own career, but she was thriving as well. She had been hit by two major issues that would have
crippled any ordinary business, and she resolved them all by sheer skill and grace.”
Elliot suddenly realized how blind he had been about her.
He finally understood why Corynn was keeping her distance since her return. He had been using the wrong methods to
approach her.
