Chapter 29 He Is My Boyfriend
In high spirits, Corynn rewarded all the employees that chose to stay with handsome bonuses.
She even booked an entire hotel for the night to celebrate their momentous victory, filling every corner of the hotel with cheers
and laughter.
Of course, those former employees who had resigned saw the news unfolding online. They initially felt as though they had
abandoned a sinking ship, but upon learning the news that Corynn had turned the tables, they deeply regretted their decision to
leave.
Seeing their former colleagues post pictures of their thick wads of cash bonuses on social media, they could do nothing but gawk
in disblief.
But it was too late to regret; instead of money, envy was all they had now.
Corynn, elated by their success, didn’t refuse any toasts. As the night went on, she became increasingly inebriated, her cheeks
flushed a bright rosy red.
Seeing yet another glass of wine being offered to her, she finally refused with a wave of her hand. Then, she tried to head for the
door, but she could barely stand. If it weren’t for Lila’s support, she would’ve collapsed to the ground in a heap.
“Ms. Harper, let’s check in to your room,” Lila suggested, her brows creased with concern.
Corynn nodded, allowing Lila to guide her to the reception area. There, she sat quietly on the sofa, her head spinning as she
waited restlessly for Lila to get the key card from the receptionist.

As her head swam, she noticed a vaguely familiar figure standing next to Lila.
“I’ll take it from here,” the man said.
Lila hesitated, unsure of the man’s relationship with Corynn. Naturally, she was reluctant to leave an intoxicated Corryn alone
with him.
Corynn squinted at the man, trying her hardest to focus. His face seemed vaguely familiar, but she couldn’t quite place it...
Still, he looked decent enough.

“I’m Corynn’s boyfriend,” the man stated firmly, hoping to calm Lila’s doubts.
Corynn cocked her head to the side, puzzling over the man’s words. She did have a boyfriend, didn’t she? And this man’s voice
sounded familiar enough, so it probably really was her boyfriend.
In the end, she decisively reached out and took his hand, declaring loudly, “Yeah, he’s my boyfriend.”

Lila’s eyes darted between Corynn and the man suspiciously. Since Corynn confirmed it herself, Lila felt reassured, and her
shoulders relaxed a little.
She chuckled, finding Corynn’s tipsy demeanor quite endearing.
Previously, she had assumed that Jason was Corynn’s boyfriend, but the man standing next to Corynn at this
moment was even more handsome and noble–looking. It also didn’t escape her that when he looked at Corynn,
his cold expression softened.

Somehow, the man looked familiar, but Lila couldn’t seem to put her finger on it.
“Ms. Harper, I’ll head back now,” she waved at Corynn goodbye and then headed back to the dining hall, her
mind still racing to remember where she had seen the man before.
Just as a colleague approached to offer her a toast, Lila glanced at the big TV screen, which happened to be
showing the financial news channel.
‘Wait a second-!‘ The familiar face on the screen made her eyes go as wide as saucers.
The man that had claimed to be Corynn’s boyfriend was the same man on the TV!

It was none other than Elliot Andrews, the renowned head of the Andrews Group!
Even the elites of Orelens addressed him with respect!
Lila felt as though her head was spinning. Was she drunk? She couldn’t believe what just happened.
Meanwhile, Elliot was busy helping Corynn into the elevator.
He looked down at the slightly tipsy Corynn in his arms, her faint fragrance filling his nose, stirring a desire deep within him.
He was well aware of the recent events circling the Harper Group, and he had to admit–Corynn’s cunning
strategy was impressive.
He had always thought of Corynn as someone who would stay at home and cook for him, never imagining she
could be so capable and decisive in the business world.
Just then, Corynn mumbled something under her breath. She seemed to be experiencing some discomfort,
because the next moment, she clung to him tighter.
Elliot felt a dry heat in his throat, her soft, inviting lips tempting him beyond measure.
