Secrets Of The Neglected Wife: When Her True Colors Shine

Chapter 1078

Chapter 1078
Chapter 1078:
Now, everything had flipped. She was the one left by Colton. And that woman, Allison, not only had hooked up with the richer
Kellan, but she was now using her own words to mock her.
Meanwhile, Kellan had brought the toolbox back. “Allison, everything’s here.” He also put on a pair of professional gloves. “I can
pass you what you need so you don’t have to search for it later.”
Allison smiled. “Okay.” She glanced up at Fabian. “I wonder if it would be possible for your staff to clear a table for me? And
maybe bring a lamp?”
“Of course,” Fabian replied with a nod. “Someone, please do as Ms. Clarke has asked.”
In no time, the crowd stepped aside to make room. Once everything was set, Allison put on a pair of white gloves and gently

placed the brooch on a handkerchief. She examined the cracked area closely, her attention sharp. “Brush.”
Kellan handed it to her. “Here you are.”
He knew how careful Allison was when it came to restoration. It reminded him of when she had worked on Keanu’s painting. She
seemed to get lost in her work, as if nothing else mattered. She was focused and precise.
This made Melany uneasy. “Ms. Clarke, I heard this brooch is worth hundreds of thousands. If you’re not careful and damage the
gems, it will cause a huge problem.”
She was clearly trying to put pressure on Allison. Although Melany didn’t fully understand Allison, she was doing her best to
interfere.

As expected, after Melany spoke, the others began to agree.
“Yes, this brooch definitely looks like it was made by a top designer. It’s safer to leave such a delicate job to the experts.”
“Ms. Clarke is so young. She doesn’t seem like someone who specializes in jewelry restoration.”

“Don’t underestimate Ms. Clarke. I heard from a restoration expert that she once helped Keanu Stevens fix a damaged painting,
and it turned out amazing!”
“But compared to paintings, gemstones are much trickier, especially with all the cracks in them.”
The last comment echoed Melany’s own thoughts.
“Ms. Clarke, as everyone has mentioned, while you’ve restored paintings, gemstones are much more complicated. You’d better
admit it and let professionals handle this if you can’t.”
Melany noticed Allison’s calm face and felt as though she were being brushed aside. But she didn’t back down; she still wanted
to interfere. “There’s no need to act like you’re skilled. Just admit it, and we won’t...”
Before she could finish, Kellan sharply interrupted her with a cold, cutting tone. “If you don’t want trouble, stay quiet.”
When Kellan raised his gaze, he found himself in a poorly lit room, his body mostly engulfed in darkness. The harsh overhead
light created a stark contrast, throwing the sharp angles of his face into focus.
“Allison is busy. This isn’t a place for anyone to just waltz in and stir things up.” Kellan spoke calmly, but as he lifted his head, not
only Melany but everyone else in the room froze.
