Chapter 2011
Chapter 2011
Manfred immediately understood the reason. He smirked at Sterling. "At least you figured it out before it was too late."
Sterling's hatred for Manfred burned fiercely. There was no longer a need to keep up the pretense. His voice dripped with malice. "Manfred, you came alone, didn't you? Do you really think I can't make you disappear without a trace right here and now?"
"You don't have the ability," Manfred replied coldly, his tone laced with superiority.
It was as if Sterling's petty tricks weren't even worth his time.
Sterling sneered. "Manfred, you're not leaving Everholm today."
He raised his hand and gave a sharp whistle.
Immediately, shadows emerged from the darkness-his hidden guards.
Vivian's heart skipped a beat at the sight of them.
However, Manfred remained unfazed, barely sparing them a glance. "Your father died half an hour ago. And as we speak, your brothers are scrambling back to Bowman Residence."
The meaning was clear-if Sterling didn't return now, he might not have a home to go back to.
Sterling's expression darkened. "How did they find out he was assassinated?"
According to his plan, no one but him should have known about the
assassination. The moment Edson died, Sterling was supposed to be the first at his bedside, securing his position as the rightful heir.
But now, somehow, word had spread.
He immediately glanced at the guards surrounding him and barked, "Return to Everholm!"
At his command, the hidden guards immediately retreated with him.
Before leaving, he shot Vivian and Manfred a venomous glare.
Vivian smirked inwardly. "You're barely holding on, Mr. Bowman. Once the
negative items backfires they won't fade so easily. As long as the talisman I hid in Bowman
wnove
Residence remains, you will continue to suffer the
backlash-again and again."
Manfred lowered his head, looking at Vivian. "Did he hurt you? Were you scared?"
Vivian smiled faintly. "He didn't get the chance to hurt me. I found a way to make
the negative items in his home and on his body turn against him.
"He was in so much agony that he had no choice but to let me leave originally planned to leave Everholm first and find an opportunity to come back for you. I didn't expect you to find me first."
Seeing that Manfred was safe, she finally let out a breath of relief.
As she grasped Manfred's sleeve, warmth radiated from the bracelet on her wrist. A faint glow surrounded it.
Manfred followed her gaze. "The bracelet... It wasn't taken by the people from the black market?"
At his words, Vivian's eyes turned red. She lifted her head, staring at him in shock. "You can see the bracelet?"
"I can," Manfred admitted without hesitation.

Manfred's gaze softened, and a
gentle smile appeared as if recalling something precious. "The first time we met was at the Atkinson F.n residence. I was living in the most rundown, remote courtyard. If you hadn't appeared and brought me
warm clothes and food, don't think I would have survived that winter." The content is on Novelxo.org! Read

He remembered now.
In the past two days of unconsciousness, he had drifted through a haze of memories, watching scene after scene unfold before him.
He was sure of it-he had been reborn.
And he was certain of something even more important-Vivian had come to this
world with him.
