Chapter 1352
Chapter 1352 I Don't Want Anything to Happen to Victor Either
Raymond felt he had already prepared for the worst by suspecting Victor, but now everything had taken an unexpected turn.
Just when he thought the tangled mess was becoming clear, it all unraveled again.
"Alex, I'll send you my current location," Raymond said firmly. "Make sure nobody's following you. I need to know details about
everyone you've been investigating."
Alex agreed immediately; he was eager to see Raymond anyway. When Raymond's incident occurred, Alex had been completely
in the dark, only learning afterward that Raymond had taken Christopher abroad.
After carefully checking that no one was following him, Alex drove toward Raymond's location. Halfway there, still feeling uneasy,
he switched to a helicopter. Taking the mountain route inaccessible to cars meant any potential followers would have to track him
from the air, where they'd be easily spotted.
An hour later, Alex met Raymond beneath the ship. Silver Bay City was in deep autumn, with yellow leaves drifting down around
them.
Alex had never seen Raymond like this, nor had he ever imagined they would be separated by life and death.
The moment the name left his lips, police sirens blared from all directions, seeming to tear through the space around them.
His heart pounded violently as Raymond's brow furrowed.
Alex's face paled. Despite his extreme caution, how had the authorities found them?
He wanted to tell Raymond to run, but where could he go with so many officers surrounding them?
Before he could act, police officers approached and handcuffed him. Communicating with a fugitive and deliberately concealing
information was a crime; Alex would face investigation.
"Raymond, run!" Alex managed to shout, but he realized Raymond hadn't moved.
It suddenly dawned on Alex-if he hadn't come, Raymond might have escaped this ambush. But now that Alex was implicated,
Raymond wouldn't abandon him.
Alex fell silent, accepting the situation.
And in that moment, Raymond realized the truth. His options had narrowed to just one -he would have to surrender and face
questioning. Suicide by jumping into the river was no longer an option.
With lowered eyes and a grim expression, he accepted his fate.
In the police car with Alex, his friend kept apologizing.
"I'm sorry," Alex said. "I had no idea someone was tracking me, especially so many officers. I was extremely careful."
"Then whose is it?"
"Alex, are you absolutely certain you didn't see that red birthmark on Victor's earlobe?" "You don't trust me? I'm positive. When
you called, I checked immediately. I did have suspicions once, but without evidence and if Victor really wanted to harm me, he's
had countless opportunities. I'd never have made it here alive. Raymond, Paul is already dead. I don't want anything happening
to Victor too."
Among their group, only Alex had grown up in the public eye-a wealthy playboy and celebrated screenwriter whose whereabouts
remained public knowledge even outside Silver Bay City.

The others had all disappeared for periods: Raymond into the military, Paul on secret missions for the Adams family, and Victor
for classified research.
Alex, with the most straightforward upbringing, valued their friendship most deeply.
"Alex, tell me everything that happened in Silver Bay City-every detail, including why you suspected Victor."
Raymond was determined to find the culprit.
Just as he finished speaking, someone at the front slammed against the partition.
"Separate them immediately," an officer ordered. "Don't let them exchange any more information."
Startled, Alex hurriedly began, "Remember that game we played in the private room at Sky Gallery? Someone..."
His mouth was abruptly covered as officers dragged him from the vehicle.
