Yolanda frowned in displeasure. If anyone else had threatened her like that, she might have already attacked him. But she could
tell that despite his recklessness, Asher genuinely cared about Alfred's wellbeing. So, she chose to let it slide.
"Asher, watch your words! Ms. Henderson is the miracle doctor at Willow Creek Clinic. Dr. Pattinson came from a long line of
distinguished doctors. He wouldn't have transferred his clinic to her if she wasn't skilled," Jude said sharply. He did not want
Asher to offend Yolanda.
"You've been deceived, Uncle Jude!" Asher insisted. He was convinced Yolanda was a scammer, so he refused to listen to
Jude's expression darkened, but he said nothing more. After all, Alfred had the final say in the Kaufman family. And if he agreed
to the treatment, Asher had no right to interfere.
"Ms. Henderson, do you need any assistance?" Jude looked at Yolanda respectfully after throwing Asher a disapproving glance.
He knew Asher and Paul would soon eat their words. Looking at Asher's angry expression and Paul's disdainful face, he could
not help but smile condescendingly.
It wasn't that Jude was not concerned about his father's well-being. He himself was the living proof of Yolanda's abilities. He
firmly believed that Yolanda would definitely cure his father since she had made this promise. He knew there was no way
Yolanda would make a mistake and worsen Alfred's condition.
"It's fine." Yolanda was not particularly fussy about her acupuncture setup. "Just keep quiet."
She requested silence not for her own sake, but for Alfred's. Acupuncture required precise positioning, and any distraction to him
could affect the treatment's effectiveness.
"Understood. Everyone, please wait outside the living room!" Jude instructed the servants, though he did not ask Asher and the
others to leave. He believed that they would respect Yolanda's request for quiet.
"Hmph! What an act!" Asher rolled his eyes but kept his attention fixed on Yolanda's every move. He was ready to intervene at
the slightest mistake to protect Alfred from any harm.
Yolanda completely ignored the seething Asher and did not even spare a glance at Paul and his team, who were waiting to see
her fail. She sterilized her silver needles with antiseptic wipes that she always carried around. Then, she spoke softly to Alfred,
"This might hurt a little. You should close your eyes."
"Haha! It's fine..." Alfred found it amusing that she was treating him like a child at his age, but he obediently closed his eyes
anyway. He was not entirely confident about acupuncture treatment. While Jude had complete faith in Yolanda's abilities, Alfred
was not fully aware of her skill level.
When Jude had been injured before, Joel had lied about its severity so that Alfred would not collapse from shock. So, Alfred's
willingness to try Yolanda's treatment stemmed more from trusting his son and wanting to take a chance.
At his age, he had come to terms with life and death. With only six months left, he was willing to take this gamble. He had
refused Paul's surgery earlier mainly because he was wary of going under the knife.
