Chapter 569
Chapter 562
Daniel's initial confusion quickly gave way to composure as he turned to his two subordinates.
"Take her to the central hospital," Yolanda said. Her gaze lingered briefly on the unconscious Yvonne before she addressed
Daniel.
"Understood!"
Realizing that Yolanda wasn't inclined to offer further explanation, Daniel wisely refrained from asking questions. As his
subordinates moved to lift Yvonne, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from the hallway.
"Hey!"
The earlier fire alarm had already stirred chaos, and Daniel's loud ascent hadn't gone unnoticed. A group of bar staff rushed
toward them. Their eyes widened in alarm as they spotted Leonardo sprawled unconscious at the private room door. "Who are
you people?" one of the staff demanded with panic in his voice.
menace.
Having once operated within the underworld, Daniel exuded a natural intimidation that left no room for doubt. Ignoring the staff,
he gestured for his men to carry Yvonne out and turned back with a glare that sent a clear warning.
"Your boss dared to mess with my friend? Tell him to crawl over here and apologize on his knees!"
Though Daniel maintained a deferential demeanor around Yolanda, outside her presence, he commanded authority and fear.
While he might hesitate before Riverdale's elite or first-tier families, ordinary people stood no chance against his dominating
presence.
The staff, however, weren't easily cowed. With Leonardo's connections to the local underworld, they had grown accustomed to
handling tense situations. Emboldened by their boss' reputation, they blocked the doorway in unison.
"Do you even know who our boss is? He's friends with Byron! Mess with him, and you'll end up feeding the fish in the river!" one
of them shouted defiantly.
They edged closer, intending to help Leonardo up, but Daniel's imposing stance kept them at bay.
"Byron?" Daniel's eyes narrowed. His lips curled into a faint smirk. He immediately recognized the name as the local crime boss
Though Daniel had distanced himself from the underworld to focus on legitimate business, he understood Byron's reputation.
If this were a personal confrontation, the outcome might be uncertain, but with Yolanda involved, the scales tipped heavily in his
favor. The people she associated with-figures like Zach, Blake, and Viktor from the Eternal Clan, could crush someone like Byron
without breaking a sweat.
"Ah, so you're not entirely clueless. Good, then you know what's at stake! If our boss has a word with Byron, none of you will see
tomorrow!"
Hearing Daniel mention Byron, the bar staff's confidence surged, and a smug expression appeared on their faces.
"Step aside! If anything happens to our boss, you're all finished!"
With renewed arrogance, they moved to help the unconscious Leonardo off the ground.
But before they could get close, Daniel stepped forward and delivered a sharp slap to the leader of the group. The sound of the
slap echoed through the corridor.
"And who the hell is Byron supposed to be? If he's willing to shield scum like your boss, then he should be ready to face the
fallout!"
"You..."
The slapped staff member staggered back while holding his cheek. He was stunned into silence. But his shock quickly turned
into anger. Grabbing his walkie- talkie, he barked into it. His voice was tinged with fury.
"Security! All guards downstairs, get up here now!"
