Rebirth of the Deadly Beauty

Chapter 566

Chapter 559
Leonardo had always been drawn to Yvonne.
With her frequent visits to the bar, he'd assumed she was an open and easygoing girl. But no matter how many subtle or blatant
hints he dropped, Yvonne never showed the slightest interest in him.
He had known Yvonne for a long time and had already tried every trick to win her over, but nothing worked.
Leonardo wasn't a bad-looking guy, and as the owner of a bar raking in hundreds of thousands a month, finding a pretty girl
wasn't exactly a challenge for him.
But people were funny like that. What came easy lost its appeal to him. It was the chase and the one just out of reach that he
found irresistible.
Even after learning about Yvonne's background, he refused to give up.
Eventually, though, Yvonne seemed to catch on to his intentions. From that point on, she made it a point to only visit the bar
when she knew he wouldn't be there, a move that frustrated Leonardo to no end.
A few days ago, while Leonardo and Layla were drinking together, he'd drunkenly started venting his frustrations.

He grumbled about how Yvonne was clearly the type to go out and have fun, yet she always acted like she was above it all.
That's when Layla got an idea.
Layla had recently splurged on a string of luxury items and was now drowning in debt from online loans. Half-joking, she said,
"Leo, if I help you get Yvonne, how would you reward me?"
"You could pull that off?" Tipsy and barely thinking straight, Leonardo slapped the table in excitement. "If you can do it, I'll give
you my brand-new Mercedes!"
"Leo, I don't want the Mercedes," Layla replied though her eyes lit up at the offer. She quickly countered, "I've got 40 thousand
left to pay off on my loans. How about you cover it for me instead?"
"40 thousand?"

Leonardo hesitated for a moment, but then thoughts of Yvonne made him itch with desire. Fueled by the alcohol, he impulsively
agreed.
However, Leonardo had completely forgotten about his drunken conversation with Layla after sleeping it off. He hadn't taken it
seriously at all.
That was why he was completely caught off guard when Layla called him today.
"Is this even going to work?" he asked hesitantly as he approached the door to the private room at the end of the hall.

When he saw Yvonne sprawled on the couch and barely conscious, he looked conflicted.
"What if she wakes up... Then, what?"
Layla rolled her eyes. Her tone was dismissive. "What do you mean? Once it's done, it's done. What can she even do about it?"
"The Hendersons aren't exactly people you can mess with," he muttered. He clearly felt uneasy.
"Leo, why are you being so dense?" Layla snapped.
She was on edge too. She hadn't dared to give Yvonne too strong of a dose. She had worried about the consequences if
something went wrong. If Yvonne woke up sooner than expected, things really could get messy.
"Just make sure to take plenty of photos and videos while you're at it. The Hendersons and Yvonne care way too much about
their reputation. Do you think they'd dare make a scene over something like this?
"I know families like hers all too well. They wouldn't go public, and they definitely wouldn't call the cops. If this gets out, what rich
heir would still want to marry her?" "Hmm..." Leonardo frowned while turning Layla's words over in his mind.
After a moment, he had to admit her reasoning made sense.
"Leo, trust me on this. Yvonne only turned you down before because she didn't really know you. Now's your chance to show her
what you've got!"
Desperate to secure the 40 thousand, she wasn't about to let him hesitate. With a firm shove, she propelled him toward the
room.

"Alright. I'm going in!" Leonardo relented. The forcefulness of her encouragement bolstered his confidence.
He stepped inside, closed the door firmly behind him, and turned around. Yvonne was stretched out on the couch. Her eyes were
shut tight.
He swallowed hard and steeled himself for what would come next.
