Quinn, sitting beside his bed, peeled an apple and offered him a slice. "Why are you in such a hurry? Who knows if Brad is really sick? We should send a few people to check if it's true. If it's a trap, we can come up with another plan.
"I've got two acquaintances among the bodyguards at the Hamilton manor. I'll
have them look into it."
Evelyn had stabbed Lucas less than an inch from his heart. Had she been off by even a little, he would have died by her hands. He grew to despise Evelyn for
what she did, ordering his men to search for her and hunt her down. But there was no sign of her anywhere.
Lucas nodded in agreement. "You're right. Let your people handle it. It looks like Brad's really into Nadine. Send a few more people to look into it. If it turns out to be true, bring her and her son to me. I'm dying to see what Brad will do when I have his weakness in my hands!"
Quinn fed him another slice of apple
and smiled. If you ask me, we
should hold off on that for a while
