Chapter 679
Chapter 679:
From the moment Khloe proposed, Henrik’s usual composed demeanor vanished, replaced by an almost restless excitement. He
threw himself into every detail of the wedding, handling everything with relentless energy. Khloe barely had to lift a finger—he
ensured every arrangement was in place with remarkable speed and enthusiasm. Tess couldn’t resist teasing him, claiming he
was terrified Khloe would change her mind. Henrik responded by putting her through such an intense training session that she
could barely move for three days.
The wedding day arrived with a sky so clear it looked painted. The sun bathed the island in warm light, as if blessing the
occasion itself. Every inch of the venue had been transformed into something straight out of a dream—elegant, romantic, and
extravagant.
Standing on the wedding stage, Laura gazed at Khloe, who was draped in a gown designed by Henrik’s mother. Tears welled in
“Khloe.” She wasn’t ready to let her daughter marry so soon. But then, she thought of Henrik—the way he looked at Khloe, the
way he treated her. And just like that, her heart settled. “You’ll be happy. I know you will.”
Once, Laura would have never agreed to Khloe’s marriage. But as her health improved, she witnessed firsthand how Henrik
treated Khloe. It became clear—he was nothing like Joshua.
No matter what came their way, Henrik was the kind of man who took responsibility, who would stand in front of Khloe if the world
ever turned against her.
It was undeniable proof of how deeply Henrik loved Khloe.
Besides, Khloe wasn’t like Laura.

She had built her own life and career, standing strong on her own. Her resilience was unshakable, and even if Henrik ever
betrayed her, she had the strength to handle it.
Khloe said firmly, “Mom, don’t worry.”
As the wedding march began, Laura prepared to walk Khloe down the aisle. But before she could take a step, Henrik appeared.
Dressed sharply in his suit, he strode toward them, a bouquet in hand.
Laura barely had time to react before he stopped in front of them. His usual cold composure had melted away, replaced with an
earnest intensity.
His voice carried a slight tremor as he spoke. “I swear I’ll make Khloe happy for the rest of her life. If I ever break that vow, I’ll
accept the worst consequences.”
Laura’s worries faded completely.
People changed. The future was uncertain. But there was no point in spoiling the happiness of today by worrying about what
hadn’t happened. Right now, Khloe and Henrik had found something rare. And that was enough.
Laura placed Khloe’s hand in Henrik’s. “Then take your bride and complete your wedding. From now on, happiness is yours.”
It was only then that Henrik seemed to realize Laura was still standing there. A faint flush crept up his face. But he straightened
and responded firmly, “We will be happy.” That was all he had to say.
Time would prove everything.
