Chapter 349
Chapter 349
“Javier has a point, Yehoshua said, his voice steady. “And any bodyguard we hire has to spar with me fire. Only thone who pass
will do. If they can’t even handle me, how can they protect Elysia?
Holden crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. “Yehoshua, I’m guessing, not many people can pass your test, ne?
Yehoshua gave him a sharp look. ‘Is that a problem?
“Well, if that’s the case, how are we supposed to find enough bodyguards?‘ Holden asked.
“We’ll find people who are close to my level. They just need to be good enough. We need numbers, not just a few Yehoshua
replied, his tone unwavering
As they discussed the plan, Elysia sat in stunned silence. They were so serious, almost like they were planning a military
mission. She couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to walk around school or other places with bodyguards.
People would stare, for sure. She could already hear the whispers and see the awkward glances.
This was definitely going to be uncomfortable.
“Um, Mom, Dad, brothers, I have something to say, Elysia said, raising her hand. Her serious expression made everyone
chuckle.
Javier smiled. “Elysia, just speak up. No need for all the formalities”
Elysia rolled her eyes in her mind. ‘I would love to, but when do you ever give me a chance? she thought
Seeing her pout, Fabian couldn’t hold back his laugh. “Elysia, we’re all ears,” he said, with an amused smile in his eyes.
All eyes were on her now. She straightened up and took a deep breath. “I want to say... can we not have bodyguards?”
“No way, everyone responded at once. They exchanged glances, and then Javier gave the final call “Five to one, Elysia. You’re
gonna have to listen to us this time.”
“Well, I have one more thing to say. Elysia’s voice was firm.
“What is it?” They asked, eager to hear her out.
In her head, Elysia thought, ‘It’s pointless to try and change their minds now. Maybe I should try a different angle. Just give a little
ground.
She glanced at them, speaking softly but sincerely. “Mom, Dad, brothers, I’m fine with bodyguards, but can they stay out of
sight? I’m not a movie star. Even Holden, a movie star, doesn’t need bodyguards when he’s out.”
“Javier.” Elysia shot him a glare. “Stop messing with me.”
“Alright, alright, sorry about that,” Javier said, throwing his hands up in defeat.
“That’s more like it.” Elysia felt a small win. Her eyes shifted to Edward and Quinita. When neither of them spoke, she turned to
Fabian, her gaze hopeful.
Fabian cleared his throat, picking up on her little plan. “I think we can make Elysia’s request work,” he said, looking at the
group.
Elysia’s eyes instantly brightened when she heard that. ‘I knew you were the best, Fabian,‘ she thought to herself.

Chapter 349
“Having bodyguards around all the time would mess with Elysia’s daily routine. It’s better if they stay out of sight. They can still
protect her just as well,” Fabian explained, his tone calm.
Edward paused for a second, thinking it over. Then he nodded. “Fabian’s right. If that’s the case, I’m good with it.”
Then he turned to Quinita, who was sitting beside him. “What do you think, Quinita?”
“As long as Elysia’s happy, I’m fine with it,” Quinita said softly.
“Alright, it’s settled then,” Edward said as he stood up. “I’ll have my assistant take care of the details”
With everything decided, the group headed back to their rooms.
At the top of Eveona Hotel, the presidential suite took up the entire rooftop. The Evans family had reserved it when the hotel was
first built. It didn’t feel like a hotel. It felt more like a home.
Even if their family doubled in size, there would still be plenty of space.
Quinita sat in front of the vanity mirror, her mind racing. The events of the day left her feeling uneasy. “Edward, I’ve been
thinking... leaving Elysia alone in Sivro is too dangerous.”
Edward lowered his book and glanced at her. “You mean, bring her back to Jorlandia?”
Before Quinita could respond, Edward shook his head. “That won’t work. Elysia wants to stay in Sivro. If we force her to leave,
it’ll upset her. Can you really do that to her?”
“I don’t want to make her sad... but leaving her there just doesn’t sit right with me.” Quinita’s voice trembled. “I’m worried...”
She didn’t finish the sentence, but Edward could see the fear in her eyes–the same fear she’d had when Evelyn left them.
Thinking about their daughter, Evelyn, who was gone, made Edward’s heart sink. He stood up, walked over to Quinita, and
Since Elysia came back, Quinita’s health had been slowly improving. She was learning to cope with Evelyn’s loss.
Suddenly, Quinita looked up at Edward, her face lighting up. “Edward, if we can’t bring Elysia back... I’ll stay with her in Sivro.
That way, I can keep her safe.”
Edward couldn’t help but laugh. He didn’t think Quinita, who could barely carry a heavy bag, would be much use in protecting
anyone.
“What’s so funny?” Quinita asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Quinita, are you serious?” Edward chuckled, still amused.
“I’m serious, of course,” Quinita said with a stern look, pulling away from Edward’s embrace. She straightened up and glanced at
him. “Just tell me. Do you think this idea is good or not?”
Edward felt a sharp emptiness in his chest as she pulled away. His eyes lingered on her beautiful face, and he couldn’t help but
pinch her cheek playfully. Squatting down, he took her hand. “But if you leave, what am I supposed to do?”
His voice carried a touch of grievance. Quinita, however, just shrugged and replied, “Well, you can come with us to Sivro.”
Edward stared at her, speechless. If it were that easy to leave, he wouldn’t have said what he just did.
The Evans Group’s core was in Jorlandia. Moving to Sivro would mean walking away from everything he had built with the family.
“Quinita...” Edward started, about to say something sweet, but she cut him off, saying, “If you can’t come, just stay in

Jorlandia. I’ll be with our daughter here”
Edward’s heart sank. He realized, since Elysia’s return, his place in Quinita’s heart had shifted.
“Quinita, my dear,” Edward began to say, but Quinita immediately put her handover his mouth, stopping him
“Stop it. This is settled,” she said, her tone final.
She stood up, glancing around the room. “I think we should buy another house. I forgot about that. By the way, do you know
where Elysia is staying while she’s in Sivro?”
Edward snapped out of his thoughts. They had overlooked this.
But remembering that Elysia owned Arcanum House, he figured she must be staying there. Still, the disappointment lingered. As
a father, he had completely missed something so simple.
Lost in thought, he watched Quinita stand up from the bed. “Quinita, where are you going?”
“I need to check with Elysia. I just can’t relax until I know,” Quinita said, her voice filled with concern.
She started to walk out, but Edward quickly reached out and grabbed her arm. “It’s so late. Elysia is probably asleep by now, If
you want to ask her, you can do it tomorrow.”
