Chapter 332
The three people eavesdropping behind the gate quickly pushed it open and stepped into the courtyard.
Alyce was the first to speak up. “Ms. Rosewood, it’s not my fault. Phoebe was the one who dragged us into this.”
Yuna cleared her throat. “Ms. Rosewood, I can back Alyce up. She’s not lying.”
Phoebe just shook her head. “Elysia, come on. I was just waiting for the right moment. You could’ve handled this on your own.
Besides...” She glanced over at the woman in black. “She’s here to help you.”
It was then that Yuna and Alyce noticed the woman controlling Grace. They realized it was Zoe, who they thought had left
already. They wondered why she was back.
“Ms. Rosewood...” Yuna began, but Elysia cut her off with a raised hand.
Grace’s mind was spinning. ‘Have I heard correctly? Why was everyone so respectful to Elysia?‘ she wondered.
Suddenly, a terrifying thought hit her, and she felt a wave of panic. She shook her head, trying to dismiss it. “No way, this is
impossible!”
“What’s so impossible?” Elysia asked, her voice light and teasing.
Grace stared up at her, her heart racing. “Elysia, who are you really?”
Elysia just smiled. “Who do you think I am?”
Grace’s eyes widened as she noticed the three people who had joined the scene. “Are you... are you the Owner of Arcanum
House?” she managed to say, her voice trembling.
She’d never met the Owner of Arcanum House before, but the newcomers‘ attitude toward Elysia said it all. It hit Grace like a
punch in the gut–Elysia was the Owner of Arcanum House.
Grace couldn’t stop shaking. She regretted agreeing to Bianca’s plan. The place was deserted–Elysia could do whatever she
wanted, and no one would ever find out.

She glanced up at the honor board above the door, where “Arcanum House” was written in bold letters. She’d thought Arcanum

House would be her last hope, but she never expected the owner to be the one wanting her life.
She couldn’t even bring herself to think about that name anymore. She’d lost everything–no money, and now her life was on the
line, all because of Bianca.
Then it hit her. She turned to Elysia, her voice urgent. “Elysia, give me a chance to live, and I’ll work for you.”
Elysia didn’t respond, so Grace kept pleading, her voice trembling with desperation. “Bianca told me to kill you. I can get revenge
for you. Just give me a chance to live, Elysia. I’m begging you.”
Alice rolled her eyes in disgust. ‘Didn’t she just act all high–and–mighty a minute ago, like she was better than everyone else?
And now she was already throwing in the towel and begging for mercy? What a joke!‘ she sneered inwardly.
“Grace, if I wanted revenge, I’d do it myself. Why would I need you? Look around–everyone here is way better than you. Relying
on you would be pathetic,” Elysia said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Grace’s eyes darkened. She wanted to convince Elysia, but she couldn’t think of anything that would make sense.
“Yuna, take her to the police station. You know what to do,” Elysia said, her voice flat.
She turned to Grace. “If you want to get out of there anytime soon, you better tell the police everything. If you try to hide

anything or don’t speak up, you might find yourself without a place in Clusia anymore.”
Grace couldn’t figure it out. What is Elysia up to? Is she trying to get me to turn on Bianca–and maybe even myself? And if I
don’t play along, what then?‘ she wondered.
“If you don’t explain yourself, the day you get out of prison is the day you hit rock bottom.” Elysia said, her voice steady but
chilling

Grace was stunned that Elysia could read her thoughts. Their eyes met, and she shivered. Elysia’s cold, intimidating gaze still
unnerved her, but she wasn’t as terrified as before—because at least she didn’t have to die.
While Grace was still trying to make sense of it, Elysia pulled a voice recorder from her pocket and handed it to Yuna. “This is the
evidence. Take it to the police,” she said, giving Yuna a quick wink.
Yuna nodded, catching on right away. “Yes, Ms. Rosewood. I’ll get it done.”

“Hurry back,” Elysia added, her eyes still fixed on Grace.
Yuna nodded, stepped over to Grace, and grabbed her arm. Only then did Zoe release her grip and step back.
Once Yuna had dragged Grace out of sight, Alice shook off her daze and turned to Elysia, her voice full of curiosity. “How did you
know Grace would show up and have a voice recorder ready?”
Before Elysia could respond, Phoebe
let out a laugh. “Elysia didn’t see this coming,” she said.
Alice glanced at Phoebe, her brow furrowed in confusion. “Then how did she have the recorder ready?”
“You’ll know Elysia more if you spend more time with her. She always keeps a voice recorder on her. And if I’m not mistaken,
there was no evidence in that recorder,” Phoebe added.
Alice’s confusion deepened. “That still doesn’t make sense. If there was no evidence, why did she give it to Yuna?”
Phoebe realized she wasn’t making any headway with the girl, so she looked over at Alyce, hoping she could step in.
Alyce got the hint and jumped back into the conversation. “Ms. Rosewood knew Grace might lie, so she gave the ‘evidence‘ to
Yuna right in front of her. That way, Grace had to tell the truth.”
Alice’s eyes lit up. “So the voice recorder was just a trick? If Grace confessed, she’d get off easier than if she kept quiet?”
Elysia smiled and gave Alice a gentle pat on the head. “Spot on. Smart girl.”
Alice beamed, thrilled that Elysia thought she was smart.
Phoebe crossed her arms and laughed, thinking, ‘Alice is acting like a kid who just got a gold star.

“Alright, let’s go inside,” Elysia said, glancing back at Zoe. “You’re coming too.”
As they walked into Arcanum House, Elysia paused and turned to Alyce. “Hey, Alyce, can you show Zoe to a guest room? She
can crash here for now.”
Alyce looked Zoe up and down, her face unreadable. She gave a short nod to Elysia. “Got it, Ms. Rosewood. I’ll take care of
it.”
“Appreciate it,” Elysia said, then looked at Zoe. “You can stay here for now. If you want to leave later, that’s fine too.”
“This way, Zoe,” Alyce said, her voice flat. She didn’t like Zoe, who had nearly taken Elysia out before and was now back after
being let go. Even though Zoe had helped earlier, Alyce knew Elysia could have handled it without her.
Zoe stood there, unmoving. Elysia raised an eyebrow, asking, “What’s the matter? Don’t you want to stay?”

“Yes, I do,” Zoe said quietly. “I want to stay here forever. Will you let me stay?”
