No More Waiting, She Chooses Love

Chapter 865

Chapter 865
Ernest's black silk shirt fluttered against his chest in the sea breeze, half leaning against the railing with an air of easy
nonchalance. "Ready to make a move?"
"It's already underway," Sinclair replied, exuding a steady calm that stood in stark contrast to Ernest's slightly rogue demeanor.
Ernest thought about how Sinclair had already brought Fanny back home and probed, "Have you figured out what to say to your
family?"
"No rush," Sinclair drawled lazily, "It's better once she's made up her mind."
"Looks like you've laid out your plan long ago, just waiting for the right moment," Ernest mused. The two had met overseas years
ago and never imagined they'd cross paths like this.
Their favorite women turned out to be best friends, as close as sisters.
"Ever regret it? Starting this late?" Ernest referred to Fanny's past relationship with Yates.
Sinclair gazed at the rolling waves, "No, everything happens for a reason."
He always knew Yates was the lingering glow in Fanny's heart, a light she needed
to let go of before she could truly move on. He was waiting for her.
Now was just the right time.

"What are you two chatting about?" Grant came over, pushing a cart filled with fruit and drinks.
"Talking about setting you up with someone to end your thirty-something years of bachelorhood," Ernest said, handing Sinclair a
glass.
"Oh, Mr. Collins not only pays our salaries but also finds us wives?" Grant joked.
"Exactly, always looking out for the well-being of my employees," Ernest clinked his glass with Sinclair's.
Grant glanced over at Fanny and me playing nearby, "Thanks, Mr. Collins, but I might not need that."

"Oh? Got someone you like?" Ernest teased.
Grant looked at Sinclair, "What does Mr. Anderson think of me?"
That was a quick pivot, but these two men weren't ordinary folks; they caught on immediately.
Ernest's eyes gleamed with amusement, turning expectantly to Sinclair.
Sinclair maintained his unflappable demeanor, taking a sip of his drink before responding, "Not much."

Sinclair wasn't one to explain himself, so Grant turned to Ernest, but he remained silent as well.
Both were his friends, and taking sides wouldn't do, so he decided to keep mum.
"Doesn't matter what you think, my aim isn't you guys anyway," Grant said, pushing the cart towards Fanny and me.
"Here you go, ladies, have some fruit," Grant said with a cheerful smile.
A man like him could lift anyone's spirits just by being around.
"I want some juice," I said deliberately.
"Name it," Grant replied with enthusiasm.
"Orange juice, lots of vitamin C," I decided.

He gave a thumbs up and turned to Fanny, "And for you, Dr. Willis?"
"I'll have the same as Felicia, thank you, Mr. Smith," Fanny replied politely.
