No More Waiting, She Chooses Love

Chapter 851

Chapter 851
"Uncle Sam, you didn't go stirring the pot with my parents, did you?" Fanny asked, eyeing Sinclair suspiciously.
Sinclair just shrugged, not giving her a straight answer. Fanny took that as confirmation. "How could you do this, Sinclair? I
trusted you."
She was upset that he hadn't backed her up, but she knew arguing wouldn't change anything. If she didn't find a way to change
her parents' minds, they'd probably show up at the hospital themselves to drag her home.
"Alright, tell me what it'll take for me to not move back home," she sighed, knowing she had little leverage here.
"Move in with me," Sinclair proposed, watching her expression shift with each word.
Fanny was momentarily speechless, too shocked to respond. Sinclair added, "Just for a little while, until your parents calm down.
Then you can go back to your place."
Fanny didn't want to live with him, even if the awkwardness of the past had almost faded. Yet, it seemed like the only option on

the table.
"I'll think about it," she said, not ready to give in just yet.
"Your parents want me to bring your things back by tomorrow," Sinclair informed her.
Fanny was silent, realizing he was forcing her to make a decision today.
"Fine, I'll let you know by this afternoon," she finally replied, though she already knew she was out of options.
Sinclair nodded and left.
Watching him walk away, Fanny couldn't shake the thought of sharing a roof with him, feeling uneasy and awkward about the
whole situation.
No, she couldn't do it. She had to find another way.
But Fanny wasn't exactly a strategic
thinker, so

As she walked into my
hospital
room, Yates was already there.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, surprised.
I knew there'd been a falling out between Fanny and Yates, so I jumped in to explain, "Yates is visiting me."
I was just as surprised to see him, but before I could ask him anything, Fanny showed up.
I wasn't sure what was going on between them, but one look at
Fanny's face told me Yates wael
for a rough ride if he was trying to win her back.
"It's nice of you, Yates," Fanny said, her words tinged with sarcasm.
"Just doing what I should," Yates replied, his eyes still full of affection for Fanny, though she wasn't having any of it.
The room fell silent; Yates wasn't much of a talker, and Fanny had nothing more to say, making the atmosphere awkward.
"Please, have a seat, Yates," I offered politely.
There's a little trick in social
dynamics: if you want someone to
leave without causing a scene,
sometimes the best way is to warmly invite them to stay. I wanted Yates to leave so I could talkto Fanny about what was going
on with Sinclair and why Yates was at this hospital.
Yates picked up on the cue. "No, I won't keep you. Get some rest," he said, standing up to go.
He gave Fanny one last look before leaving.

"Take care, Yates," Fanny said, surprisingly gracious as he walked out.
