Chapter 2295
Elisa felt overwhelmed by this realization.
She had never considered developing any kind of relationship with Will. Furthermore, she had no desire to have any influence on him.
"I believe that every visitor should be treated as a guest. I want to make sure you feel welcome."
With this simple statement, Elisa made it clear that there was a distinction between their positions and a certain distance between them.
Will's expression noticeably darkened upon hearing her words.
Undoubtedly, Will did not appreciate what she said, nor did he like the sense of detachment in her words.
However, expressing his dissatisfaction to Elisa proved to be difficult for him.
It was Elisa who brought him back from his thoughts and broke the silence. "Didn't you say you were hungry? Come and eat quickly."
Elisa unpacked the food, arranging each dish meticulously on the dining table.
Then, she helped Will to his chair.
However, he remained clear-headed.
"I think you need a specially made table. Otherwise, with the caretaker coming and going, I'm afraid you might get hurt," Elisa suggested, pulling out
her phone to make a call.
The attention she was giving him dampened Will's mood, as he didn't like being treated differently.
"There's no need for customization. If the caretaker can't handle it, I can practice slowly on my own. Besides, didn't you say I would get better? In that
case, I don't need these anymore."
"But you're not fully recovered yet. Until you are, we should make your life as comfortable as possible."
Will had already decided to stay at her place, so taking good care of him was only natural.
Will pursed his lips and continued speaking. "I don't want to burden you. Liz, I want to be your protector, not your burden."
As he spoke, his black obsidian eyes fell upon Elisa, reflecting genuine determination and deep affection.
"I understand. Focus on your recovery and try not to worry too much about anything else."
response, Will didn't pursue the topic further.
Will intended to settle down there for the long term, which is why he arranged for his assistant to ensure everything was of the highest quality, even
helping Elisa purchase new furniture.
Elisa hadn't expected him to go to such lengths, but as the gifts kept arriving one after another, she found it difficult to refuse them.
"Will, I'm only staying here temporarily, yet you're bringing in so many things. It would be a waste if I decide to sell this house later."
The reason she didn't return to Wickam Residence was because it held too many memories for her. If she were to go back, it would only remind her
of the past.
Furthermore, it was previously occupied by Norman and Linda.
"When you sell the house, you can sell these things along with it. It won't be a problem at all. Now that you're living here, of course, you should make
yourself comfortable."
With just a glance from Will, the movers began to bring the items inside. There were so many things that it felt like the place had just been newly
furnished.
"With all your stuff in here, there's barely any space left. Are you sure this won't be an issue for us?" Elisa followed up with a long sigh.
"How about we move to my other, larger house?"
Will pursed his lips as he cautiously asked for Elisa's opinion.
Elisa remained silent, sensing that Will had a purpose behind all of this.
