Chapter 384
Chapter 384 Rejected in front of everyone, Luke lost his composure. He immediately mocked Audrey, "I thought a good student
like you would be different, but you're just as superficial as everyone else."
The more he talked, the angrier he became. He continued, "That Jason doesn't even dare to show his face. He's only written one
song, yet you're all going crazy over him."
Seeing how easily Luke let his guard down, Audrey simply admitted she was that vain. She said, "If I'm getting married, it's only
to Jason."
Back then, Audrey just said it offhandedly. Who would've thought that a random comment would become a reality now? No
wonder Violet didn't believe Audrey hadn't been planning something with Jason all along.
Having no idea how to explain it, Audrey could only change the topic, asking Violet how her blind date went.
When her blind date was mentioned, Violet immediately forgot to keep questioning Audrey. Exasperated, she vented to Audrey,
"Just talking about this makes me angry.
"I've never met such a bizarre person in my entire life. I don't know what bad luck I had to run into him. I'm telling you, we're just
not compatible at all."
Out of curiosity, she said, "Sounds like there's a story here. What did you guys discuss that day? Tell me, and maybe I can give
you some advice."
Violet was speechless. She suspected what Audrey wanted to say was: "Tell me so I can have a good laugh." She gritted her
teeth and said, "He's stuck in a teenage phase, plus he's such a hipster and a huge narcissist.
"I've never seen anyone like him, posting hundreds of updates on Instagram every day, two-thirds of which are selfies showing
off his abs. In short, it's indescribable. I never want to go on a blind date again."
Audrey clicked her tongue in amazement and casually asked, "That's so odd. Why didn't you block him instead of checking his
Instagram?"
Violet suddenly paused. Her lips twitched a bit. After a moment, she stuttered
slightly and said, "Since my family introduced him, it's not cool to block him.
"Besides, if my mom knew, I wouldn't get any peace. Better to keep him there and check once in a while, just as a little spice in
life."
Violet didn't give Audrey a chance to ask more questions. She made an excuse Alright, I can't talk anymore. Someone's calling
me. I'll hang up now. After saying this, she quickly hung up.
to know Violet pretty well. Violet only got flustered like that when she had something to hide.
Audrey's intuition told her that Violet didn't dislike her blind date as much as she pretended to. As for how far things would go
between them, Audrey couldn't say.
Audrey thought, 'Maybe Violet could spark something special with that unusual blind date.' She chuckled and got up to wash up.
After changing her clothes, she headed to Sunny's room first.
Sunny was also exhausted yesterday and still hadn't woken up.
Audrey quietly left the room and looked around the house but couldn't find Alistair. She thought, 'It's Saturday, so he probably
doesn't go to work. Does he go swimming?'
Thinking that, Audrey went back upstairs on her own. As she reached the corner, she heard voices from the walk-in closet.
Curious, she moved closer and saw that the door was half-open.
Alistair was facing away from the entrance, talking to someone on video chat.
Logan's voice came through the phone, saying, "The outfit you just tried on is too plain. It looked like you were going to a
business meeting-it's got no personality.
"Trust me, switch to the black shirt with the subtle glitter, and don't go with that suit. It's too old-fashioned, Pick a color that's a bit
more youthful, like magenta. It'll definitely suit your skin tone. And skip the tie.
"Remember, don't button your shirt up all the way like you're at work. Leave a
couple of buttons open, and style your hair a bit."
