Chapter 425
Charmaine looked at Celeste and said, “I’ll be back after dropping off the gift.”

“No, don’t! This is the first time you’re celebrating Mr. Emyr’s birthday. Spend some more time with him, you don’t need to worry about me. I’m really
fine!” Celeste insisted while crossing her heart, as if swearing that she truly didn’t want Charmaine to return.
Charmaine’s response was quiet. “That’s not the point. He and Kane are sharing the same suite, so it’s just a bit awkward for me to be there
anyway.”
Celeste froze.
Oh, no. I’ve been overthinking it....
After the loud and chaotic annual party finally ended, Emyr retreated to his room, feeling utterly drained.
Kane and the others tried to persuade him to continue the party elsewhere, but he declined.
He wasn’t a fan of these types of gatherings. But as the head of the Crosses family, the one holding all the power, he couldn’t avoid this annual
ritual.
After a quick wash, he checked his phone, sent a message to Charmaine, and then flopped down onto the bed.
Suddenly, a message he’d quickly dismissed earlier flashed back into his mind. His heart skipped a beat as he sat up abruptly, hurriedly opening a
hidden app buried deep within his phone.
Inside, there was an icon he had marked as special, and in the corner of the screen was a small note: Offline for two hours.
It’s the Fox!
typed out a message.
“Find out where the Fox was last online.”
Nirvana replied, “X! You’re back!
“Wait, you mean the Fox ... is alive?!”
Emyr continued, “She logged in two hours ago. The app requires facial recognition and fingerprints to access. There’s no mistake–it’s her.”
Nirvana wrote back, “I’ll check immediately!”
Within five minutes, Nirvana’s response came through.
“The Fox’s location is in Sudbay. I’ll send someone there to track her down.”

It was late, so he decided he would track down Veronica the next morning and get some answers.
He typed as X. “No need! I’m already in Sudbay. I’ll go after her”
Friched
Nirvana replied, “Alright. X, are you okay? We’ve all missed you these last few months. The guys are enger ro see you again. If we get another
chance, we want to fight by your side!”
Emyr’s lips curled into a faint smile as he read those words.
“It’s getting late. I’m logging off now. Good night.”
Nirvana was still typing on the other end, clearly wanting to say more, but Emyr quickly closed the page, unwilling to continue the conversation.
He lay back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. The images he had buried in his mind resurfaced, ready to emerge again...
On the endless stretch of open sea, a luxurious cruise ship cut through the water at high speed.
Their bodies were battered, bloodied, and their wrists tied tightly, dripping with blood. The crimson fluid dripped down, falling into the dark, churning
waters below.
The sharks, drawn by the scent of blood, circled just beneath the surface of the deep–blue sea.

Chapter 815
Laxus, gripping an AK–47 in one hand and a remote control for the ropes in the other, was cornered. His face twisted with fury as he aimed the black
barrel at the two men slowly advancing toward him.
“Don’t come any closer, or I’ll throw them overboard for the sharks!” Laxus’s gruff voice rang out, filled with
menace.
“Boss, don’t worry about us! This bastard has killed so many people–he deserves to die!” one man shouted.
“Exactly! We’re not afraid to die. Even if it costs five lives to take down a major drug lord, it’ll be worth it!” another yelled.
“Bah! You’re dying today, Laxus!”
Laxus yelled, his veins bulging, “Shut up! Keep shouting, and I’ll toss you into the sea!”
The wind howled around them, and Emyr’s voice was thick with tension. “You really think you can touch them?”
“Ha! X, the youngest commander of Valasia’s Special Forces! I knew you wouldn’t abandon your men,” Laxus mocked.
Emyr’s reaction pleased him. Laxus’s scarred face, marked by years of brutality, twisted into a grin as he leaned on his last hope–the possibility of
escape.
He made his tempting offer. “Let’s make a deal. Drop your guns and get me a speedboat. If you let me go, I’ll
spare your men.”
