Chapter 3552
A deafening boom echoed through the forest. Dust billowed into the sky, shaking the entirety of Ore Island to its core.
"What... What just happened?" Angus, who had been in the middle of lunch, was startled and rushed outside.
When he spotted the massive cloud of smoke rising not far from the Governor's Keep, Angus muttered under his breath, "What the hell is going on
now?"
At the Laurent Factory near the construction materials market, Laurent was sitting in his office with an elderly man. The old man's eyes were fixed
intently on the metal desk in front of him—the same desk that Matthew had effortlessly sliced open not long ago.
"Mr. Wainwright, do you see anything unusual?" Laurent asked with anticipation.
Ever since witnessing Matteo flick his finger and leave a gash in the thick iron surface, Laurent had been completely shaken. That was why, at great
expense, he had invited a highly respected martial arts master from another island—Merrin Wainwright.
Merrin studied the surface carefully, his fingers brushing the edge of the damaged section.
"Laurent, relax. All your worries are completely unfounded. Someone like that..." His gaze drifted over Laurent, scrutinizing him from head to toe. "I
don't mean to hurt your pride, but frankly, you're beneath his notice."
Before they could continue the conversation—
Boom!
Another massive explosion roared through the air, and both Laurent and Merrin's expressions changed.
"What's going on out there?!" Laurent shot to his feet and yelled toward the hallway.
A subordinate rushed in quickly. "Mr. Laurent, there's been a massive explosion near the Governor's Keep. According to our scouts, it looks like they
A flash of unease flickered in Laurent's eyes. "Are you certain this was done by the Governor's Keep?"
"Positive." The subordinate nodded firmly. "Our scouts saw Governor Lew and Mr. Larden of the Viper Crew near the launch vehicles. Looks like the
entire strike was led by them."
Laurent gave a small nod and waved the servant away. But the fear he once held toward the Governor's Keep had now shifted into reverence.

Had the elusive and formidable Mr. Larden officially allied himself with the Governor's Keep?
Laurent turned to Merrin and said in a low voice, "Mr. Wainwright, I'll have someone escort you back. The remaining payment will be transferred to
your account shortly."
Merrin gave a silent nod without another word.
Laurent turned toward the window, watching the massive plume of smoke rising over the distant treetops. "Maybe it's time I started thinking about
retirement."
Back at the Viper Crew's compound—once infamous for its ruthless operations—things had changed dramatically under Corey's strict reforms. The
old criminal undertone had been swept away, replaced with a push toward militarized discipline.
The former standalone villas had been sold off and replaced with dormitory buildings. But despite the downgrade in accommodations, the energy and
morale of the crew had never been higher. Every member wore newly issued uniforms, each bearing the Viper Crew's emblem alongside a bold "L"
for Larden.
"Don't forget," Corey shouted under the blistering sun, standing before a group of new recruits, "everything we have today is thanks to Mr. Larden.
"Sir, yes, sir!"
Corey gave a satisfied nod, watching the recruits push through their drills. He wondered when Matteo would return. When he did, would he even
recognize the Viper Crew anymore?
Boom!
Another explosion rocked the island. Everyone instinctively looked up.
"Keep training!" Corey barked.
